I was watching him on espn classic a week or two ago. it was VA vs. UGA. He was pickin them apart big time. He was looking like Jason White (Excluding his 2 Nat champ games of course LoL). 3 TDs in the first half. Not sure bout second half, i turned it off. But i am waiting to see him like that again.

You want him to go back to the U of V? Or you want him picking apart defenses [IMG]

Falcons also havent played a game yet. they WILL lose against the Rams</div>

I have ATL going to the super Bowl! I see a decent defense, a good playmaker, an awesome TE. PLUS THE EAGLES WILL CHOKE AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Oh, but you won't give Vick the same pass eventhough Brooks has been in the league longer? Simply put, some people just don't like Vick and his style of play and that is fine. I am just glad he plays for my home team - The Falcons. You can say what you want but all I care about is results no matter if it comes in the form of him running for 200 yards and passing for 100. Tell me what other QB can do that?

Ya'll fail to realize that his running makes him special. The passing with accuracy will come in time especially when we get a decent O-line and Vick gets comfortable in the offense. I'm sooooo not worried at all. This is his 2nd full season of play and will only get better.

14th vs Defense they are playing the 10 time a game running rams which will be tough.... but the rams have no D and then they face in my Opinion the Eagles who 1. have no T O and 2. Cant win a NFC champuionship game if their life depended on it

If Vick, had even for a 3 game stretch ever shown any ability to throw the ball downfield consistenly to his WRs(NOT TEs) than i woudl think he has a shot, but he hasnt and doesnt.

What difference does it make who he throws it to? Maybe our lousy receivers aren't open? It doesn't matter who the completion is to. I would, however, agree that vick needs more consistency in the passing game. But my point is that until he gets that part of his game down, then he should run or make those short dump offs. That doesn't make him less of a QB, it makes him more dangerous because HE CAN RUN.

Actually it does make him less dangerous. Becuase he cant throw to sideline. It means when they play a good defense with a good linebacking core, he is shut automatically. Also, peerless price dominated in Buffalo, he has quality recievers and a good running game. He has no excuse other than lack of ability, i have never seen a QB need more than 2 years to learn how to throw the ball to recievers

Peerless Price are you kidding me?? Have you watched any of the Falcons games? He is one of the WORST route runners I have ever seen! True, there have been a few occasions where Mike has overthrown him but PP has had his opportunities - he has not made the plays I would expect a #1 receiver to make.

And, no, it does make him more dangerous. A good linebacking corp won't get the job done - it takes SPEED on the outside to shut Mike down. He can throw to the sidelines - that is where most of his completions to the receivers have been. The problems have been the underneath routes (probably his lack of height) and deep passes (that is just timing). Vick was actually a better passer in 2002. This season is just what it is - new system, new coaches, new receivers but yet, we still finished 11-5 and would have been better had Vick not sat for two games. Nevertheless, you have your opinions and that is cool.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'>I think Michael Vick needs to improve his passing before he can be a good QB. Right now, he looks like a halfback playing out of position. I think once the Falcons run into a team that shuts down his running, he will show what a poor passer he is at this point in his career. That can happen as easily as the Vikings gaining a 14 point or more lead and forcing Vick to throw to catch up. Then, perhaps some of the hype will die. The truth is that Michael Vick resembles Kordell Stewart more than any other QB right now and if he doesn't learn to hurt defenses with consistant passing, his fate won't be much better.</div>

Didn't that happen against the Bucs this year? 27-0 I believe....

That was one game. Plenty of QBs have trouble coming from behind when their team is a run first, pass second team. Besides, Vick has had many comebacks when the team was behind.

And tell me again what "hype" that is? All I ever hear is what a poor passer he is, only a running QB, should be a running back, etc. Sounds pretty negative to me.

PP last season in Buffalo (when he had a quality QB throwing him the ball.) 94 catches - 1252 yards and 9 TDs.
In atlanta with Vick as Qb for full season
    45 catches - 575 yards

On Buffalo he also had a QB with not half the arm strength Vick has. I cant tell you how many times this season I have seen him drop a pass that was right in his hands. Now a good WR would be able to catch the passes Vick gives them, but its just to fast for him so he drops it half the time. Also Vick is quite a bit shorter its not as easy for him to stand in the pocket and make plays as it may be for the taller QBs therefore they run the ball quite a bit. PP half-asses his running routes and I'm sorry to say but I cant say I'm impressed with him, I hope the Falcons get rid of him actually.

Uhhh, Bledsoe was a number 1 pick because he had a cannon of an arm. Vick just lacks a little thing called touch. You will not realize or agree with this cuz you at the world with Vick/Falcon colored contacts. You dont see me coming on here making dumb posts about how great bears players are. Yes they have a better QB than vick. but he is not the MVP.

If I was starting a franchise and I was told that I could take 1 QB from the teams still alive in the playoffs, Vick would be my 7th choice, right ahead of Bulger and Im not even sure about that....Hes been given all the tools to set the league on fire and he hasnt been impressive....Its a shame too, because his physical tools should dominate the game like no one ever has before, but he doesnt....from a defensive standpoint, hes not scary as long as you can spy him with a fast 'backer....At some point, the world will realize hes just another "gangbanger with speed"....

Correct you dont make dumb posts about how great Bears players are because they lack that dont they so then it definately would be a stupid call on your part, and as far as a better QB goes, I really dont think so. You dont make the posts because you cant, your team has done nothing this year to be worth mention, nor have the players.

    Lets leave it at that.

Well my team fielded a better defense, and has the chnace of winning super bowl this year 0%. It has a better chance next year, because as long as Vick is your QB you will never win super bowl
