It was heard on Sportsradio 610 here in Houston that the Rockets are aggressively pursuing Payton...I think a trade would have to happen within 48 hours of the initial deal so I'm not sure?...Has anyone heard of this either? I was shocked to hear that the Rockets were even interested...
i hope that the rockets trade for jamal Crawford. Wait for the log jam at the guard to occur in NY and come January , find a way to get Jamal Crawford
if the rockets get payton...wow wat a team the rockets will be...triple threat...payton will be deadly if the offense is run correctly...
payton sux nowadays.. im sure he has some juice left in him, but don't count him in as one of the best pgs anymore. plus i doubt boston would trade him..

Are you kidding? Would we have genuine interest in Payton? Even if we did, who would the Celtics take from us. Payton is their only PG and they would want a PG in return for sure, and nobody on our roster is of that calibre. I think all these rumors are flying around solely because it is common news that we need a PG, thus the perception that we are after every one of them worth talking about.

Just look at his numbers the the year before he came to LA. I bet he'll be an allstar-caliber player again next year with Boston. He'll probably get around 20ppg, 6-7apg, and 4rpg.
