Theres already like 2-3 threads on this, why doesnt a moderator merge them together in the heat forum?
so i'm guessing all these reports mean that this trade is about to go down. like mcdonalds i'm lovin it
That's crazy. Isn't Wade a point guard? If he is, how will Jason Williams get solid minutes he deserves because he is in no way, a bench player. PG: Williams SG: Wade SF: Wright PF: Haslem C: Shaq Automatic champions right there.
wade played point guard, but look at the way he plays. he's as pure a 2 guard as there is. he's much better suited at that position. heat only played him at the point because they could. and i wouldnt call them automatic champs...haslem has a long way to go even playing next to shaq, and who knows how well wright will be, he's never even played a college game lol. plus the deal wil prolly include posey, who im sure would start over wright. hehe...you should read the article settle down cowboy, your jumpin the gun plus the deal wil prolly include posey, who im sure would start over wright. hehe...you should read the article either way, i lie this trade for the heat
Since this is still in the early-rumor stage, this thread is ok here for now. But if you want to hear more indepth discussion, you might want to check out the thread in the Heat forum.
I think this would be a great move for the Heat. there lineup would be stacked if this deal went through. Starting LineUp: C- Shaquille O'Neal PF- Udonis Haslem SF- James Posey SG- Dwyane Wade PG-Jason Williams I am smelling a championship run.
No way the Heat win the championship, especially with J.Will. The Shaq and Wade have a far worse supporting cast then the lakers did last year and look what happened to the lakers. And Wade is no where near Kobe. The heat can forget about a championship run, especially with J.Will running the squad. You need more then Wade, Shaq, J.Will and a bunch of minimun salary players to win in the NBA. No way they can beat deep teams like the pistons, spurs, wolves or even the Nuggets.
Also, that trade makes no sense. Why would Jerry West, the best GM of all time, trade Posey, a great, underpaid player and J.Will for a overpaid, over-the-hill, non-productive player like Eddie Jones. Makes no sense for the Grizzlies. Posey is the best player in this proposed trade. Wont happen
The Heat just simply need a point guard. Wade is more productive at the 2. I would have liked to see Rafer Alston stay with the Heat, but my Raptors threw a whack of money at him so he'll be up here next year. With the Heat apparently chasing Williams, it just shows how few true point guards exist right now.
CFO532036 there is no need to be double posting unless you want to get the thread shut down, either combine them into one, or edit it to make them one later, just don't souble post.
OK, this deal would be good for the Heat, but does anyone think for a minute that Jerry West, probably the best GM in the game, would agree to a horribly lopsided deal like this? Yeah, I'm sure that West wants to trade his defensive stopper and his starting point guard for an overpaid old SG and a filler.

He has a huge contract and moving it would be good anyday. Memphis also has a young PG begging to start with his play in Earl Watson, and Antonio Burks can play his backup right away, so it's not like Memphis will suffer from the loss of Williams at point guard.

The East is much thinner than the West, and it is entirely possible that they can get through it.
Shaq-->MOST DOMINANT PLAYER ON NBA UDONIS HASLEM--> a good power forward with limited minutes good job good rebounder JAMES POSEY--->star player more than 10ppg and he is very complete DWAYNE WADE--->star rookie a top guard on nba JASON WILLIAMS-->a top passer for shaq Dorrel Wrigth--> the perfect sixth man fresh and athletic
Jerry would never do such a trade... furthermore let Watson start... Jason is a perfect fit for the grizz and watch out coz this season can be big for him, he is each year more focused.

Seriously, what do the heat gain in this? I mean it's like boston's trades in recent years, they win nothing.
