Luol has been playing amazingly well and If I wasnt a basketball fan I'd think he's been in the NBA for quite a while now by looking at his #'s. Luol is on my fantasy roster and has been playing very well.

I wouldn't be saying that quite yet. Just because he's playing great now, doesn't mean he can't hit a brick wall at any given moment. I don't see him getting ROY. Eventually, his minutes will get docked or he won't get as many touches, or he'll just hit a wall, but I don't see him getting ROY. I think it'll be Howard and Okafor as the top two, or maybe Okafor and Gordon, and you'll likely see that as the season progresses. But, I wouldn't go making bold predictions like that just two games in. Two games is not an entire season. There's still 80 games left to be played.

i agree. luol deng has played well, but when eddy curry comes back i think he won't see as many looks. i think it'll be okafor, he's probably going to put up the best stats since there isn't much on the bobcats besides brezec and maybe wallace. gordon has a shot, he played well last night. deng still can win it, but i don't know. nocioni, would be a long shot in most people's eyes, but i think he has a decent chance if the injury isn't too serious. i really like nocioni. yeah it is to early to say one particular rookie has it rapped up.

i disagree, deng and curry will be the main scoring options, leaving gordon and nocioni to get some looks from double teams, hinrcih will be hinrich. i still say deng for ROY.

I don't see Deng as a main scoring option. I may be totally wrong, but I don't see it. The big reason he gets a ton of minutes right now, I think, is because of the fact that Curry is hurt. Well, actually, I should rephrase that. That's why he's getting the looks he's getting. Once Curry comes back, his touches will go down, as will his stats. That is, unless he ends up stealing Gordon or Nocionis starting spot.

I think the ROY might be a player on this team but who would be a toss-up. We have 3 rooks that can score and play defense, All of them are complete players, So it would come down to who doesnt get injured and who plays the most because our rooks have differant roles on this team which would be hard to compare.

It is too early to start talking about the rookie of the year. Especially considering that Deng has only played 2 games.

I'm sure glad i picked this guy up in the last round of my draft. I actually havent seen him play yet, but his numbers are amazing, although it is only 2 games into the season, he's really got my hopes up. As far as ROY goes, i think he's definatley got a shot. This years rookie class is a very solid one, it will be exciting watching all these talented rookies battle it out for the ROY award.

I like Emeka Okafor for ROY. The body on that kid and his athleticism. He reminds me of an even more mature and bigger Amare Stoudamire

I hate this whole thing. I realize that Deng played very well so far. But I dislike people even considering making such comments. What if he breaks his right knee?
Some people said Jay Williams was a strong pick for ROY early on a couple of years ago, how did that turn out? You see, one can't make such radical predictions at this point, one muct sit and observe until the 20th game or so.

BTW - Ariza is SO the R.O.Y. [IMG]

im basing my decision on his play, not predicting whether or not hell get a career threatening injury.

I think its to early for anybody to say that Deng
is going to be rookie of the year, but i think the rookie
on that team that is going to contribute all around is
    Nacioni
He is going to grab boards dish and score every night
i hope Ginobili showed him of that foot work
then he would a tough player to guard.

He what if the Bulls had Deng and Gordon for
Co ROY that would be something to see
even though thats never going to happend. [IMG]
