I'm guessing 52 wins, 3rd seed in the playoffs and a second round elimination.

Q will stop jacking up threes and start posting up and get mentioned in 6th man of the year (what are the rules for how many starts they are allowed before being disqualified).

I'm guessing 47 wins, and 6th seed in the West.

Q-Rich will never stop jacking up three's, it's not possible, I thought it would happen when he was in LAC, but it doesn't.

Joe Johnson and Marion will again get votes for All-Defensive team.

    48 wins - 5th seed

Q is taking way too many three's, and that is coming from a Q fan. He needs to start driving more and posting up. 6th man isn't out of the question for Q though, I think a lot of Suns players could be getting awards, defence of team with Marion/JJ, possibly an all-star in Amare, and a 6th man in Q.

Wow, so far so good for the Suns:

    112-82 against the Hawks
    108-98 @ 76ers
    112-80 @ Nets
94-74 @ Bulls... and next what

    117-87 @ Cavs?

They're crazy... they're the beasts... well so far in the young season, but at this point, the "Suns" sound scarier than the "Pistons". Winning by the average of 23 pts... and with three of them coming on the road sounds real good. It's a good thing to have the Suns in the L... we need more teams who're able to win games without making them look hard to watch. Yeah, yeah :P I'm referring to the Pistons, although at some point I thought I was crazy thinking they're pretty exciting, fastbreaking team.

^ They have yet to play any real teams, they don't play a good team til saturday which is against the Kings. The Suns have had a great schedule to start the season, all the teams they have beaten are poor teams who will likely be in the lottery this year.

Suns have done what they suppose to do and beat who was in front of them but still It's hard to judge them until they face some very good teams.

Agreed... I didn't analyse that fact... kind of forgot. Yeah we'll have to wait and see if the Suns are for real... but that 4-0 start is indeed a very good start.

The chicago win sounded ugly from all the reports I've heard (despite a 20 point final margin). The thing that makes the team so exciting isn't just the wins it's the fact that these are teams we lost to last year. The chicago win did showcase Amare vs. Curry and Chandler pretty well. I'm interested in seeing how he'll match up against Ilgauskas and Miller or if we'll trot out Voskuhl and Hunter for the duties.
JJ's play has been awesome as well as Amare's. Q and Marion haven't really caught fire yet (though Marion did rip down double digit boards last night) and NAsh seems to be doing exactly what is needed from him. The chemistry is what makes me think this team will win the Pacific (and thus get 3rd seed) and the only qualifier I'll attach is that we need Q to get in line and stop his selfish Clipper 3-point jacking ways and start being the best post up guard in the League. We also need to get some consistent play out of our collective of Cs but that may be a stretch. All in all I think they'll win roughly half of their Western games and about three quarters of their Eastern games. I don't know if the math adds up but I think 30 losses sounds reasonable when you're playing in the West even if you're damn good.

If only we could get Zarko to get back into his Dallas of last year game shape we'd have a scoring threat coming off the bench other than Q. Vroman is a nice addition but he's a rookie and I'm in no hurry to see him get minutes. Lampe could be a scoring threat too given the opportunity and experience but that's too much to saddle him with now.

The addition of Outlaw also brings my optimism up a notch or two:)

That's exactly my thoughts (and I actually mentioned it in the Suns at 4-0 thread). The season is young right now, and like you said, they haven't played any real good competition yet. I don't know about them right now quite frankly. They could be as good as a 4th or 5th seed, but, they could also be a lottery team. It all depends on how they handle playing the good teams in the league. Currently, they've started out with a weak schedule that has been all against the weak teams of the East. When they start playing against the good teams, specifically teams like the Spurs, TWolves, Pacers, Pistons, etc., we'll see what happens. Right now, they may be winning in convincing fashion, but, it's not convincing me. They're beating below par teams (combined 3-12 record between opponents) and blowing em out. Good for them. When they get into the bulk of their schedule, then we'll see what happens. Til then, I'm not real sure on em.
