When Andrei Kirilenko comes back, does anyone else think that Kirilenko, Boozer and Okur will be one of the best 3, 4 and 5 combos in the league? Mehmet Okur is putting up double doubles often without Kirilenko, and Boozer has been a 20/10 threat all season long. Andrei Kirilenko has a good offensive game, and arguably the best defense in the league. When AK47 is back and fully healthy, how do these Jazzmen stack up against other 3, 4 and 5's as a combo?

it sounds like a defensive/rebounding dream come true, but the line-up hasnt been really tried yet. IMO it needs some time to developing and flourish. lets wait and see.

picture this, boozer and okur, both being bulky bodies, can crash boards and challenge shots in the lane. andrei contributes with his shot blocking and perimeter defence. using the current guards to pressure the perimeter spots too, we can have a good team with big time defensive power

^^ As of now it looks like he will be back very early January. I doubt they'll rush him back into the lineup, as another injury to the same knee could mean a lot of time on the IL if it's not fully recovered.

It sounds like a great lineup on paper and I think Okur is kicking some ssa ( I have him on my fantasy so I know all about it [IMG] ) but how they look on paper and how they perform on the court are two completely different things.

But once they start gellin and learning each other I feel like that frontcourt can do a lot of damage.

definetly a top 10 Frontcourt in the NBA, perhaps even top 5.

What a lineup in the front court...
AK + Boozer + Okur will dominate the boards as someone said and the Jazz will become a strong/powerful defensive team.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Marbire:</div><div class="quote_post">
    1- Carlos Arroyo
    2- Raja Bell
    3- Andrei Kirilenko
    4- Carlos Boozer
    5- Mehmet Okur</div>

please bring Giricek back to number 2...[IMG] he deserves another chance.

It should be interesting to see. I think it will work out right if each player plays his game and don't try to get in the others way. On offense Okur needs to be around the high post, Boozer in the low post, and AK slashing to the basket. On defense, AK turns this team from one of the worse defensive teams to one of the best; if you remember from the first part of the season Boozer would hold the player in check til he got ready to shoot, then AK would come from the weak side to swat his stuff down. I think they could be one of the best front-courts in the league.

I agree with you 100%, Giri has a better shot and he plays as good if not better defense than Bell has been this year. And Bell plays better off the bench.

Those three probably make the best frontcourt in the NBA, except Miami's frontcourt for one sole reason, SHAQ. AK47 is arguably the best defender in the league, Boozer is a double-double night in night-out and Okur is turning out to be better than anyone would've thought.
