I think he clarified this like 2 years ago lol. A.I. becoming a Sixer was almost like a dream for him. He loves Philadelphia and the fans. It`s a great thing too. Allen Iverson has made a big impact on the NBA showing that size doesn`t matter and a whole bunch of other things. If A.I. were to go to another team, alot of 76er fans would be lost. He`s the heart and soul of the city and franchise.

pfff...Iverson already stated he wanted to end his NBA career in philly. A.I has been through numberous losing seasons with the sixers, and was benched early on last year, but still he came back to play for the team this season.
what does that tell you about this man's heart and passion? clearly he is more devoted to Philly, than Tracy "give up on teamates" Mcgrady was to Orlando.(note-Orlando was very close to Tmac's hometown of Daytona beach)

Very well said, Iverson is the heart and soul of the city and franchise. I don't really know how to put this in words, but I think AI is the kind of player who will affect a city, not just its sports, but the entire city.

It's hard to judge whether or not AI will stay in Philly for the rest pf his career with all the trades and free agent acquisitions that happen these days. With that said, I still believe AI will be a Sixer for life because the fans love him and he loves the fans. He has no problem in Philly and everyone knows he is the star so I can't see him leaving.

I really don't think so, because usually players that are stars that don't win a championship after 3 quarters into their career usually want to see if they can win it in another city.

The players you see staying with 1 team their entire year are role players that usually are fan favorites.

Allen has said many times before that he wants to finish his career as a Sixer. Need4Sheed, he has already stated that he isn't going to sell out to a winning team just to compete for a championship. He wants and beleives he will receive a ring for the 76ers.

Yeah, I reckon he'll stay put, although he might leave for his last season if sixers goot a good deal for him, but sixers wouldn't let him go coz without him they'd really struggle, and he clearly loves it at philly.

Totally, Iverson is the heart of this franchise. He knows it. He knows that the city loves him, while he himself loves the city as well. Plus, last year there were that circulation of rumors going around that he might be leaving. Yet, Iverson stayed here. I think after that little incident its pretty obvious he's going to stay here for the rest of his career unless Billy King goes off the deep end and trades him.

I Hate AI and hope he gets traded. Philly needs a better team. Im moving to Philly from the Milwaukee WI area next month and Im just hoping they have a decent team to watch. And right now Philly's team doesnt look like anything great. I know Milwaukee dont have a good record but they still have a good entertaining team to watch, win or lose. AI = very overrated...

What do you mean overrated. You know he did drop 54 points on the Bucks, maybe thats why you don't like him. If you look at his stats they are no where near overrated. For a player who isn't really even 6" Iverson is simply amazing.

The first sentence in your post says it all, you hate AI, not matter how good he is you hate him.

i'm very credulous when i answer this question.

But i have to say yes A.i. will finish his career in philly. I just think he has dont to much for the orginization. and i also believe unless he stops putting up 50 point games every once in a while i think he is very concrete with the philly orginization.

I also hate Jordan but I respect the hell out of him. I hate last year's Pistons but I thought they were a great team. I dont like AI at all cuz he seems like one of those one man teams. I remember a time last year where AI didnt play and the Sixers were winning compared to losing with Iverson. I feel he isnt anything great and if you take as many shots as he does he better get 50 points.

Where we in the playoffs last year without Iverson? That right there answers your question also how can you hate Jordan!?!? Anyway you dont feel Iverson is a great player you are entitled to your own opinion, but here is why I think he is the guy has started the all star game several years straight has won the scoring title three times, is leading the team is assists and over the years had been second in the team in assists only to snow the point guard at the time, he ranks top ten in the league in steals as does Igoudala, he has won two games basically by himself for us this year with his steal and the game winning shot, he has one several NBA 1st team awards, he is a olympian, a former ROY, and has the third highest career scoring average ever in the NBA behind Jordan and Wilt Chamberline. How can you not consider him a grear player he does what he has to to lead the team he may take a lot of shots at times, but he usually makes them in the clutch and makes them when they matter. He is also averaging the highest field goal percentage he has shot since 2001 this season so he is getting better with his shot selection again.
