    We should do this

Golden State trades: PG Derek Fisher (11.5 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 3.9 apg in 26.8 minutes)
SF Mike Dunleavy (11.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 2.5 apg in 31.9 minutes)
PF Clifford Robinson (9.0 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.9 apg in 26.9 minutes)
Golden State receives: SF Paul Pierce (21.6 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.3 apg in 36.4 minutes)
PF Al Jefferson (7.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.3 apg in 16.1 minutes)
PG Delonte West (3.0 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.0 apg in 8.3 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -0.7 ppg, +2.1 rpg, and -2.7 apg.

Boston trades: SF Paul Pierce (21.6 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.3 apg in 36.4 minutes)
PF Al Jefferson (7.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 0.3 apg in 16.1 minutes)
PG Delonte West (3.0 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.0 apg in 8.3 minutes)
Boston receives: PG Derek Fisher (11.5 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 3.9 apg in 26.8 minutes)
SF Mike Dunleavy (11.9 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 2.5 apg in 31.9 minutes)
PF Clifford Robinson (9.0 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.9 apg in 26.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +0.7 ppg, -2.1 rpg, and +2.7 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Golden State and Boston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Golden State and Boston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We do this because we get Pierce and we get a guy that could come off the bench for us. Also we dump Fisher's contract and have him come off the bench, and we get rid of Dunleavy who will probably do better in the east Depth charts:

PG: Speedy Claxton/ Luis Flores/ Delonte West
SG: Jason Richardson/ Mickael Pietrus/ Calbert Cheany
SF: Paul Pierce/ Mickael Pietrus/ Zarko Carparkapa
PF: Troy Murphy/ Al Jefferson/ Zarko Carparkapa
    C: Andris Biedrins/ Adonal Foyle/ Dale Davis

    IR: Eduardo Najera

Why Boston does it is that they get a guy to back-up Jiri Welsch and have two guys to mentor Marcus Banks. Also Cliff will give any team good minutes no matter where he is. Depth Charts:

PG: Gary Payton/ Derek Fisher/ Marcus Banks
    SG: Ricky Davis/ Mike Dunleavy/
    SF: Jiri Welsch/ Mike Dunleavy
PF: Raef LaFrentz/ Tony Allen/ Kendrik Perkins
    C: Mark Blount/ Cliff Robinson

    IR: Walter McCarty
    Your guys thoughts?

I would make that trade in a second. But would Boston... Why would it make sense for them to get rid of their franchise player, and a promising young player for Fisher, who has a bad contract (and they already have GP, we know how well they got along in LA), Uncle Cliffy, who only has about 2 years left in him and Mini Dun. That would be a great trade for the Warriors. If that was offered, I would take it.

    TRADE ACCEPTED
Due to Golden State, Boston, and New Jersey being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Why the Warriors do this is that they get a good back-up PG for Speedy, they get a star to go next to J-Rich in Paul Pierce, and we get someone with low post power to back-up Murphy. The Depth Charts:

PG: Speedy Claxton/ Zoran Planinic/ Luis Flores
SG: Jason Richardson/ Mickael Pietrus/ Calbert Cheany
SF: Paul Pierce/ Mickael Pietrus/ Zarko Cabarakapa/ Eduardo Najera
PF: Troy Murphy/ Al Jefferson/ Zarko Cabarakapa/ Eduardo Najera
C: Andris Biedrins / Adonal Foyle/ Al Jefferson/ Dale Davis

IR: Dale Davis and Eduardo Najera

Why New Jersey does this is that they get two seasoned point guards to play for them and mentor there young players. Also they get Cliff Robinson who they have been wanting for a while. Also they get Marcus Banks, a young PG who can be very good. The Depth Charts when RJ comes back:

PG: Gary Payton/ Marcus Banks/ Travis Best
SG: Vince Carter/ Derek Fisher/ Jacque Vaughn
    SF: Richard Jefferson/ Billy Thomas
PF: Brian Scalabrine/ Cliff Robinson/ Jerome Moisio
    C: Nenad Kristic/ Cliff Robinson/ Jerome Moisio

Why Boston does this is that they get a star point guard that can bring out the best in players, two shooting guards/ small forwards that are good off the bench, and they get a guy who can pass and shoot to back-up Jiri Welsch. Depth Charts:

PG: Jason Kidd/ Mike Dunleavy/ Delonte West
SG: Ricky Davis/ Rodney Buford/ Mike Dunleavy
SF: Jiri Welsch/ Ron Mercer/ Mike Dunleavy
    PF: Raef LaFrentz/ Kendrick Perkins
    C: Mark Blount/ Walter McCarty

``I don't want to comment on trade rumors, but any time you hear that Al Jefferson is mentioned, there's really nothing else I have to say,'' Ainge said. . . .

That's what he said in the Boston Herald, but probably he would make an exception in a chance to land Kidd..

I don't know about that...Warriors seem to be getting screwed in the deal.
If the Spurs throw in Popovich, then I'd do it! [IMG]
