He had potential, but we don't have enough roster space for him to just stay on the IL forever.

The small ball lineup would have given him a chance to play...

    Heres the press release:

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
The Golden State Warriors have acquired forwards Rodney White and Nikoloz Tskitishvili (pronounced NI-ko-los SKEE-tish-VEE-lee) from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for forward Eduardo Najera, guard Luis Flores and a future first round draft pick (from Dallas in 2007), it was announced today by Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin.
?We are extremely happy to add these two young, talented players to our team,? said Mullin. ?This deal, along with the trade we completed with New Orleans earlier today to add Baron Davis, gives us a total of nine players on our roster who are 25-years-old or younger. We hope that both of these players will continue to improve and develop along with the rest of our team as we work to grow as a group.?
Stay tuned for audio with the media, exclusive interviews and much more.
White, 24, has appeared in 202 regular-season games over three-plus seasons with Detroit and Denver, averaging 7.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 15.9 minutes per contest. In 42 games this season for the Nuggets, he averaged 5.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per game. Originally selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft by Detroit, the 6-9 forward played one season for the Pistons and was traded to Denver on November 1, 2002. In 2002-03, White averaged career-highs of 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 72 games during his first year with the Nuggets.

Tskitishvili, 21, has appeared in 132 games in two-plus seasons with the Nuggets, averaging 3.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per contest. He was originally selected by Denver with the fifth overall selection in the 2002 NBA Draft after playing three seasons professionally in Europe. The 7-0 forward from the Republic of Georgia played his final season overseas for Benetton Treviso in Italy in 2001-02, after spending the previous two campaigns with KK Slovan in Slovenia ? having made his professional debut as a 16-year-old

Well we got rid of Najera..... good job..... Flores gone, Doh! And last but not least the 2007 pick from Dallas is gone. Okay trade overall, great before I heard Flores was gone Tskititshvili and White could both be good players. Mullin did a great job today. Overall in his whole career as GM 7/10

Now that I know it's Dallas' pick in 2007, I feel a lot better about this trade. I don't think this trade was just for salary relief, it seems Mullin really wants to incorporate Tskitishvili into the Warrior's future. If we can resign him for cheap, I'm all for it, but talk about a logjam.
Farewell to the Warrior's "Latino Connection" and best of luck @ Denver.

Well, I wish it was not Flores, but who cares really, he was not going to break the lineup unless we had major injuries. I have seen Denver play in several games locally and against the Warriors since I live here in CO. I have to say, I was impressed with White. I am really glad we got him. He could be a very good alternative to Dunleavy. He can post up very well, is pretty athletic and strong. Good move. That and we got Skita. He has not done much except for that one game against us where he had like 15 point in 2 minutes or something crazy like that. I think Monty will allow him to play his outside game more than Denver. Its like Milicic in Detroit. You drafted him to play his game not make him a center just because he is 7ft tall...

I was exagerating. I think it was 9 pts, but anyways he showed a sweet stroke. I am more excited about White than Skita at this point, but if Skita is worth the #5 spot in a draft hopefully he can live up to that potential.

Tskitishvili was pretty hyped up coming into the league. He has a ton of potential.
From his profile on NBAdraft.net :
    NBA Comparison: Pau Gasol
Excels in many aspects. Can shoot from long range, battles for rebounds. Struggles defensively, but just needs time to develop his strength. Has very good agility and can run the floor. Great offensive touch. Could grow another few inches. Talk in Europe is that he will be better than Pau Gasol.
