I don't know if many of you would feel this CD but to me it has probably been the best cd of 2004. Incredibly versatile and the lyrics are just spiritual. K-OS is just one of those artists that doesn't mind stepping outside the box to communicate his point of view.

A must buy/download if anyone has a chance.

Man I Used To Be is awesome, but I doubt anyone outside of Canada has even heard of him.

He's been on 106 and Park Top 10 before...well the voting, not sure if he made it.

I'll dl the CD first to see if its good for me.

Ecellent cd, hes very talented, he raps, sings, play acoustic guitar and the drums. Probably the best cd of the year in my books.

Actually, last year he won a Source (magazine) award for best international artist, so at least someone has heard of him.

    K-OS interview

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">K-OS took the Hip-Hop scene by storm with his video for ?Super Star Part Zero.? A vivid but simple look at the post-modern B-Boy even made its way to the top. Not since Choclair?s debut, had so many Stateside eyes been on talent in Canada. But the album sales didn?t quite match the strength of the single.

With the release of his new album, Joyful Rebellion, he once again brings a new level of stamina to Hip-Hop. The Trinidad born MC is calm and focused in demeanor with AllHipHop.com. Just as his music, he has a concentrated creativeness, even hours before traveling across the world.

As 2005 continues to link listeners with K-OS, it certainly would?ve been tragic had he kept his promise to release only one album. Get to know one of the pure-thinkers of the mainstream, and travel the depths of K-OS? mind.

AllHipHop.com: I have to ask this, how?d you come up with the spelling for your name?

K-OS: It was a gradual thing. I didn?t want to have the same spelling [chaos] as in the dictionary, ?Noun. A state of utter confusion.? I?m didn?t want to embody that kind of energy. I messed with different spellings and meanings. It?s a reminder of what I?m on a mission to do.
