    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The 76ers endured a brutal week shooting the ball.

Starting with their victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on March 27, they shot only 40.1 percent from the field over four games and under 40 percent in three of them in the week that ended Saturday.

They shot 37.8 percent in a 17-point loss to Dallas on Friday night.

"We've got to start making a couple of shots," coach Jim O'Brien said after that game. "Lester Conner [the associate head coach] keeps our offensive chart. Red is a bad look, black is a make, and green is a good look that is missed. We had a lot of green on there tonight."

Chris Webber did not play against the Mavericks because of a shoulder injury, but he had shot only 20 for 61 (32.8 percent) in the previous three games. Kyle Korver (9 for 27) and Rodney Rogers (8 for 24) shot 33.3 percent for the week, with Korver going just 6 for 20 from three-point range.

Allen Iverson, who started the week with a 5-for-28 clunker against the Lakers, wound up shooting 36.1 percent for the week, going 38 for 105.</div> Source

well, korver's shot has been off for a while now, just hope he gets it back for the playoffs, if we make it.

What's most important is that Iverson has regained his touch, because like always the 76ers will go as far as Iverson can take them and if his shots are not falling it's always hard for the team to win. However we have yet to see the real outcome of a game when he is in his shooting droughts now that we have Chris Webber. But the point is that, he's regain his touch and that's a good thing during this pivital stretch. Korver on the other hand needs to regain his stroke. He's been in a major shooting slump for some time now, and we are going to need his shooting to help us during our Playoff quest and if so, in the Playoffs. So hopefully, this just a team slump, and everything will eventually get better. Just hopefully.... If our defense hasn't been failry well as of late, we would be in a major hole right now.

Now is not the time the 76ers need to be in a shooting slump. The nine games left to play is probably the most crucial stretch of the season so it is very important for the guys to start shooting better and making the open looks. The 76ers can make it a lot easier on them though. In my opinion they are trying to be a jump shooting team when they are not. An example is in the Boston game, two or three times Marc Jackson was handling the ball and ended up taking one dribble and shooting fade away 18 footers which is not his game at all and needs to cease. It's time for the Sixers to start putting the ball on the floor and going to the rim instead of settling for the outside jumper all the time.

Well, hopefully with Webber being back in a few days it would help them out of the slump a little. I mean, with Webber in the lineup, it no doubt draws double teams towards him and Iverson leaving a bunch of other guys open. However, it really isn't about that right now, the players are just shooting bad like Korver or Iverson. I mean these guys need to be stroking it for the playoffs and them being in slumps just isn't too good. Korver is a big part of this team and him not making those threes are really killing us. I wouldn't worry too much about Iverson though- he actually drives to the lane a lot more compared to other guys and gets the free throws so it shouldn't affect his game too much. Just that it would better if he could knock down threes and such.

Yeah Korver's been in a major slump, although I think thats mostly due to teams figuring him out and not letting have even the slightest inch of daylight...

I think it may be a case of tired legs. Remeber, this is his first season playing this much, so it would make sense if his legs are tired because he is too good of a shooter to be in a slump for this long.
