<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> TORONTO (CP) - Canada's MVP Steve Nash is bringing his game to Toronto.

The Phoenix Suns point guard, who was named the NBA's Most Valuable Player on Sunday, said he's awaiting final approval from the league to host his first NBA charity all-star game at the Air Canada Centre this summer.

"It's an exciting time to have an impact in my home country, and especially in the community of Toronto, and do something special there," Nash said from Phoenix.

The game is good news for Toronto basketball fans after former Toronto Raptors star Vince Carter left for the New Jersey Nets in a trade last December, putting an end to his popular charity all-star game that ran in conjunction with Caribana. </div> Source
Just another reason why I like Steve Nash. Not only is he Canadian...he is a PROUD Canadian. I'm guranteed to be at this game.

Great news...We need to bring excitement back to Toronto and Canada now that the team is doing poorly and VC won't host his charity games here anymore.

The invited list is filled with stars and rising stars. I'll be happy if half of these players show up (well, 2/3).

^I'm pretty sure the Phoenix players will be there to support their captain. Even if we get their whole starting lineup in here with Bosh and company I would be satisfied.

It's cool that Nash would do something as cool as this for the city of Toronto. I definitely want to go to this game especially since he's inviting great players like Shaq, Wade, the rest of his starting lineup and even our very own Jamal Magloire.

I think that the Raps like Bosh, and Jalen will be shoe-ins for sure.

Steve is a good guy for doing this. The community of Toronto should enjoy a charity game being put up by the current MVP.

It goes to show people what type of person he is, props to Steve.

This is great for toronto after Vince leaving us. And that is a heck of a lineup. But since Nash is Canadian, I think he should have charity games at different locations of Canada i future years so other cities who don't have bball teams have something to cheer for. A perfect example is Vancouver. [IMG]

BTW-Realize VC is not in the line-up, probably he will get himself booed off again.

I thought Vince would fly back and host his 5th charity allstar game at Toronto despite being a foe, but atleast Nash is going to do it. [IMG]

I always thought Jalen Rose would fill the void Vince left, because Jalen used to have a charity game when he was with Chicago. Either way good for Nash to do this.
