Considering how generous Olshsy is with Paul's money, It's quite cheap.

Nah 1st and a decent player is what they can get I agree, but the player they ll get will fit in their system, not play the same position with their best player. No reason to do that because then they ll be looking for another trade and there is no point to do so. They have their top 5 pick to get a decent pg, so probably they deal Dragic to get another 1st and a decent wing or PF.

Any deal that doesn't have Meyers in it is a bad one.

Willie Cauley-Stein is frustrated with his lack of playing time and production this season.

He is probably not quite as good going forward but long-term he would be a lot cheaper than Plumlee.

I'd certainly trade Plumlee for him, I doubt the Kings would though.

Why not? Well not straight for Plums maybe as they hardly need another center but Cauley-Stein's value is very low.

I'd do Crabbe/Turner for WCS and an expiring.

WCS has the potential to be a young Tyson Chandler and exactly the type of player we should be going after (young, tons of potential, and undervalued by their current team).

They have no SGs or SFs for the future. They're gonna want to put talent around Cousins to keep him there. They're not a free agent destination. I think there's a chance they'd give us WCS + an expiring.

Cauley steins value is probably not much different than what we got Harkless for. He's just a theory at this point.

For a second rounder, I'd take a look. Maybe. Honestly never been impressed with him in the NBA, but I did like him in college.

So that begs the question: Why would they want Crabbe and Turner? Neither of those two seem cut out for a starting role. Crabbe is way too passive and isn't much of anything other than a spot up shooter who doesn't defend. Turner is a little more versatile, but can't really shoot from outside, so that also limits his viability in today's NBA as a starting wing.

I'm not saying WCS is a great prospect who is going to command a king's ransom in the trade market, but I think you vastly overstate how desirable Crabbe and Turner are going to be, given their evident limitations and huge salaries.

Except, when he does start (in the rare occasions when Dame is out and Crabbe can be the second option) he is aggressive and produces well. He might could do the same in Sacramento.

Crabbe would be a good fit next to Cousins, and Turner would be some talent they could acquire for cheap. They're not that desirable but obviously they don't desire WCS.

That illustrates how overpaying our players converted them from draft assets into draft liabilities. Last year we would have sold at a profit; this year at a loss.

Olshey's strategy of asset accumulation works only if he sells assets while on rookie contracts.
