In terms of them not having to give up much for him.

Yeah, but undesirable and cheap (in terms of salary) is far better than undesirable and expensive. I don't see why the Kings would want to load up on Portland's bad contracts.

Olshey has a weapon he's not using. He knows powerful media people in California. He could get one in Sacramento to hire Canzano with a big raise. Canzano's articles would drive Cousins into our arms. The Kings would relent and take Crabbe for him.

my guess is Denver would probably ask for either Harkless or Vonleh to go along with that Cleveland pick. Would you do it? I have reservations about trading Vonleh but I'm also tired of not having a center and Nurkic is only like a year older and locked up long term, so whatever.

Although a Vonleh/Nurkic front court sounds reallllly intriguing as well.

Hahha I just typed in Vonleh on Twitter for shits and this is the first thing that came up. Vonleh to Denver confirmed.

I would like to keep Vonleh due to the last 2 games he had solid outings. I would do Harkless and move Layman as the backup small foward to see how he handle the increase playing time. Cleveland 1st with solid draft I wouldnt do that maybe a future protected 1st round.

I actually agree that Vonleh has a higher ceiling than Harkless, and is probably why I think Denver would prefer Vonleh. Harkless is still young but I dont really see him taking his offensive game to another level than where it's at now.

I'm not sure how I feel about a Vonleh for Nurkic swap? Mostly meh I guess.

If this trade happens I want Woj to credit me.

If it doesn't, I want everyone to forget what I said.

Just spitballing here, what about this

    To Portland:

    Nurkic
    Faried

    To Denver:

    Vonleh
    Cleveland first
A future second or protected first
    Davis
    Ezeli

Denver sheds farieds salary and also saves money by acquiring Ezelis expiring. They also pick up a cheap veteran backup for Jokic, a first round pick in a good class, and a good young project in Vonleh, who has minutes available immediately. Portland gets the rebounding and size they've been desperate for.

    Lillard
    McCollum
    Harkless
    Faried
    Nurkic

    Second unit

    Turner
    McCollum
    Crabbe
    Aminu/Leonard
    Plumlee

Noah has a good game or two and now this is a meh? Nurkic has his issues but at least he's center sized and has been a plus defender. Noah has shown very little that says he's even a quality back up big moving forward.

I like Vonleh for Nurkic trade. Works for both teams, Nurkic is way more ready to contribute now and offers exactly what we are missing. Make this happen. Vonleh will develop into a decent player but Nurkic is better IMO.

    Ya it's probably nothing buuuuut

    - Report comes out that Denver is actively shopping Nurkic

    - Nurkic didn't play last night

    - Denver is a pretty random place to be on an off day

    - Team probably had yesterday off, but I'm pretty sure they practice today

These 4 days are kind of like a mini all star break, would be an ideal time for a trade, at least on Portland's end.

Players don't usually go anywhere until they are notified a trade has already happened, and there's nothing being reported. At this point I'd say it's extremely unlikely.

-If the teams wish to complete the trade over a weekend they must notify the league office on Friday, otherwise the trade call cannot be held until the following Monday. The trade is not complete until all terms have been agreed to during the trade call.-

    Just sayin lol

And I think players can meet with teams before anything is finalized as long as they have permission from their current team. I think.

The most likely scenario here, is that the tweet was bullshit.

    But you never know.
