Ive never seen or heard of it untill the TExas game friday can any1 answer theese questions? 1-is it in the pros 2-can u explain it if i got it wrong --what i got out of it was a 1 point safety is when a player on Team A picks up a fumble by team B and runs back into Team As endzone and getting tackled? is that it?
1. i knew about it. 2. i always thought it was a 2 point safety 3. i always thought it waas in the NFL, if it isnt, it should be! P.S.- just make it paryt of the league if it isnt, n make it one point, just so football can say they got a 1 point play
Theres some 1 point thing in Canadian football, but I always thought they got this 1 point when you go to kick a field goal but miss and the special teams on the other team catch the missed field goal and take it out for a return almost like getting a kick from a kickoff or punt, then that kicking team still gets 1 point.
1. I actually looked it up and it can happen. The situation is team A scored a TD. Team B either intercepts, recovers the fumble, or some how catches a deflection from the kick before it hits the ground. Team B also has to run it all the way back to the endzone that team A is defending. 2. This site can help you with that question http://www.nfl.com/fans/rules/try
that site said nothig about it....in the NFL, the defending team cant score on a try attepmt and there is no way to score 1 pt....i dont know enough about college rules to be sure, but I know that a defending team can return a point after att or 2 point converswion for a score, but its worth 2 pts
