103-93 Victory Gives Force Sweep of Stars `

    - A 16-point advantage in the third quarter gave the Sioux Falls Skyforce a 103-93 victory over the Salt Lake City Stars in the two-game series finale on Monday night from LAC-Bruin Arena.

    Four Skyforce (2-1) players had 15-plus points, with Mike Smith (19 points, three rebounds and six assists) and DJ Stewart (19 points on 6-9 FGA, four rebounds and career-high five assists) leading the way.

    Micah Potter added 17 points and six rebounds, while Dru Smith posted 15 points on 6-13 FGA, career-high eight rebounds and six assists. Sam Thompson chipped in a season-high 13 points, eight rebounds and two assists off the bench.

    Salt Lake City (0-2) took a 51-47 lead at halftime, but Sioux Falls outscored the Stars 31-15 in the third quarter. The Stars would get the lead down to five points under three minutes, but the Skyforce answered with a 10-5 run to close the contest.

    Carson Edwards led the Stars with 21 points, while Marquis Bolden had 19 points and nine rebounds. Jared Wilson-Frame posted 17 points on 6-12 FGA, as well.

    Sioux Falls ends its three-game road swing on Wednesday as they travel to Ontario, California to take on the Agua Caliente Clippers. The contest will be the first regular season game for the Clippers and tip-off is slated for 9:00 PM CST. Salt Lake City will host the South Bay Lakers on Friday at 8:00 PM CST.
