welcome to the boards timberwolvespress!
"For instance, Shaq is explosive around the basket, and I am, too. If I play my best, I'll be better than some of the best big men who ever played. I'm going to be an All-Star. In a couple of years I can be an All-Star and play with the best centers in the NBA. The teams that didn't draft me made a mistake." ~Yinka Dare
Welcome to S2 Timberwolvespress.
Were you happy when KG won the ring finally with the Celtics?
Also I'm kind of rooting for the Wolves now that they got Al Jefferson and Gomes.
I almost went to tears no kidding when Tafoya interviewed Garnett. I had never seen someone release so much genuine emotion in an interview in my life. I've seen the pain and suffering KG went through here in Minnesota for all those years and that win almost like set his soul free in a way. I strive to one day be able to experience the same emotion KG did for accomplishing something in my life that means a lot to me like a title meant to KG. "Anything is possible" is still ringing in my ears. The only way in my opinion for the Celtics to win that trade was to get a title, and they did it. Now it's Minnesota's turn but Al Jefferson and crew have a long mountain to climb to make this an even trade now that the Celtics have a title to show from it.

Seems the Celtics were sitting in the ideal position to already have Pierce, be able to trade for KG, and be able to trade for Allen. I know the Wolves tried to build a team around KG in previous seasons, and with some success, but there's no way they could have done what the Celtics did in building a champ.
Welcome to S2!
You hear the one about the fella who died, went to the pearly gates? St. Peter lets him in. Sees a guy in a suit making a closing argument. Says 'Who's that?' St. Peter says, 'Oh, that's God. Thinks he's Denny Crane.

Yeah, I know most Wolves fans wanted KG to win a ring in Boston. But I really think you guys have a bright future with Jefferson, Love and company.
As when the interview was happening my eyes got watery (like when you're about to cry) and I looked at my dad who wanted the Celtics to win so bad this season, and it was the same. So much emotion in the interview, its amazing how much love KG has for the game.
