Do you remember where you were when this happened? ...it capped a very improbable comeback ...down 4-0 vs Pedro. (Giambi had earlier hit 2 solo HRs off Pedro)
One of the Golden Nuggets in the Franchise Treasure Chest. I was working that night but got home in time to catch the last three innings , Clemens with a poor start, Mo with a great pitching finish.
I'm pretty sure I watched this by myself. At the time I was going through a nasty Divorce with my first Husband. Thanks for the memories Ron.
...I remember going nuts when Posada hit that blooper into CF to score 2 runs and tie the game...but when Boone hit the first pitch of the bottom of the 11th to win it, I started jumping up and down and got so excited that I accidently knocked one of my wife's prized pieces of collectable Wedgewood off a shelf and broke it...but it was well worth the $150 it cost me to replace it.
I was in my recliner of course, and no I did not shit in it, or leave behind a mere trace....lol... a classic game for the ages... ~!~
"bat shit crazy, (and) with details" actually imo, the line between (b/t) sanity and madness, is but a razors edge (wide), a tight rope; or sign of the times.... I think many cross from one side to the other; with regularity, but for whatever reason(s), I don't quit know...
I bet he wasn't a Yanx Fan, or turned colors and coats, ie became a Bosox or other fan??? So you kicked his ass out, lol. Sorry Lil' don't wan't to make fun of a bad situation, I'm just trying to shed some humor on some of the more painful moments in life....
He was a big time Yankee fan used to go to the Games all the time with his friends. I kicked him out because he was a drunk.
too bad the series didn't end that way. that alcs was such an emotional roller coaster, one for the ages, but the ws was in particular a let down.
not because he took his buddies to the ballgame instead of taking you; that sux? That's grounds for more than a Divorce, that's all out grounds for warfare imho....
