placing james in the rookie all star game is like placing warren sapp on a junior league football game. it'll be unfair for the other team, unless they got melo. but who actually watches the rookie-star game? all the hype is on the actual all-star game. and if lebron is a starter of the west all-stars then... highlight reel of the game: lebron dunkin on yao? it can happen. anything can. question: will lebron be in the dunking contest?
We'll see how lebron really does do, I want to see him in the rookie game... do your sayin he'll lead his rookie team to victory?
I think Bron will be, after all, he did sign that huge deal with Coke for Sprite, and they do sponsor the event. "The Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk Competition" I personally think that Bron has held back in the dunk contests that he has been in, and is just waiting for the dunk contest in LA, when all eyes will be on him. Thing is, will Melo be in it? Talk about marketing, people would eat that up with those 2. I know many don't think that melo is a great dunker, but I feel he can show us a little something. Will they still keep that 3 year rule in effect as well? Who knows.

I don't think he would do too bad, after all, we have seen people just known for dunking do terrible in this contest. I'll never forget Tony Dumas missing every dunk he tried, that was pathetic. Other jokes were the Baron Davis headband dunk and the Michael Finley cartwheel (well, tried to cartwheel)
I think if Carmelo went in, he would lose, and James owuld probably make it farther. Therefore, that would be bad for Melo.
Lebron will likely replace Mcgrady as a starter.The Fans love Lebron more than T-mac right now...Also If Lebron keeps up the numbers of 16,6 and 6 then he would deserve to make it anyway.I'm more interested in the reserves as we pretty much know who the starters will be for each conference.It's who the coaches select is what should be predicted. Melo won't make the all-star game this year.He has ALOT other players to fight for that SF spot.Marion,Peja,Walker,Jamison,KG..the list could go on really.Melo will play in alot of all-star games in his career but not this year.
