The 14 players selected -- seven each from the Eastern and Western Conferences -- were chosen by the 30 NBA head coaches, who were asked to vote for seven players in their respective conferences -- two guards, two forwards, one center and two players regardless of position. josh howard better get melos spot. I think no melo because coaches dont like the fact he missed 15 games. Wouldnt suprise me if some coaches dont like him too much now.edit: I mean boozers spot. but if boozer is healthy, he deserves his spot.
Boozer is out 4-6 weeks, and what is the all-star game? 2 more weeks? I am almost sure he is not going to play.BTW Kidd and Carter, two Nets in the all-star game :rock:
There are 2 spots left so Josh Howard will get in. Carmelo I'm not sure of as David Stern is the person who picks replacements.
How can Carmelo not even be in there I mean ya he was out 15 games but he was having a killer season up to that point and is still playing strong after the suspension. Josh Howard should be an All-Star but there are too many other good forwards ahead of him. Boozer and Yao will not be able to play and Marcus Camby should replace Yao while Carmelo should replace Boozer.
Melo deserves to be on the list too. But then too bad of his suspension. I would also want to see Odom on there too.
If you get into a brawl and get yourself suspended for 1/3 of your games like that I don't think you really deserve it, especially since the West is extremely deep at the forward position. I'm sure he'll make it anyway though, same with Howard. Good thing Marion made it. If he didn't he'd probably throw a hissy fit or never pass it to Amare again.
