Wasn't impressed at all after watching the McDonald's game. Didn't really read anything good after the Nike Hoop Summit game, especially after he finished with only a few assists and few points, but I was really impressed early on in that game. He came out and took a couple shots, but then all of sudden stopped being selfish and started acting like a point guard. I remember him leading the break a few times and making the right pass to finish it off. I remember him driving into the middle, drawing the defense, then kicking the ball to a perimeter player for an open 3. He did a few other things that made me think "When he doesn't play selfishly, he's actually a pretty good point guard." The guys been on a high school team were he's taken a ridiculous percentage of shots and scored a ridiculous number of points. It was like he all of a sudden thought, "I don't have to force these shots. I finally have really, really good players to pass to." I'll be interested to see how he develops with Calipari.

Can anyone give me a report on this guy? Nothing from web sites cause they're so generic.

I figure everyone's going to compare him to Calipari's 3 most recent guards, so I'll play along. After watching his performances in the 2 exhibition games, he's reminded me of Evans from the standpoint that he likes to shoot/score a lot. Like I said though, the first half of the Nike Hoop Summit game he was playing like the passing John Wall. From what I've seen though, he shoots better than those three did at this stage. He's quick and pretty fast, but not like Rose and Wall. It's funny how he keeps getting the top guards but they all seem to be just a little different than each other.

As sketchy a guy Calipari is, he's great at using his PGs to gain fame. And he's great at telling him that.
