This has sorta petered out as we lack any kind of consensus at this point, but... the thinking here is to decide who the Blazers would pick at the currently-polled spot. Pick based on the current roster, even if it's unrealistic that the team could move up without making changes. If the guy you'd prefer isn't listed, vote for "other" and comment on who you'd pick. Ideally I'll change the options, although I don't anticipate too many "others" winning. I plan on having each pick up for a day or two. Ideally, we'll end up with the community's "top 11" list, in order of preference, just in time for the draft on June 28. Previous picks: 1: Anthony Davis 2: Thomas Robinson 3: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist 4. Andre Drummond 5. Bradley Beal 6. Damian Lillard 7. Harrison Barnes 8. Dion Waiters 9. Terrence Ross 10. John Henson
I think Rivers, Lamb, Marshall are all potential fits at #11. It goes to show you that the Blazers will probably have decent options at either #6 or #11. I went with Rivers again.
Sullinger, in spite of the red flags. I dont have to once again explain my disslike of the guards in this draft.
If you look around you will see there a lot of different opinions on Rivers. If we all thought the same thing, it would be pretty boring around here. What I like about Rivers, which I think I have said in other threads, is that he shows a desire and ability to be a closer. He will never be what Roy was when he was healthy, but to me that is something that is really missing on this team (unless you think Batum, Matthews or someone else on the team can fill that role) and I don't see a lot out there in the FA pool to fill that need. Maybe Steve Nash -- who can still take over a game in spurts when he is needed? Rivers may end up being a bust or the 2nd coming of Jamal Crawford, but I see something in him that I think could help this team quite a bit.
