Anyone going to the game tonight? I think I'm going to head to a bar to watch it. It's one of the few times I've missed having cable. I might think about signing up for Fox Soccer 2go, but since they lost the EPL I'm not sure $130/year is worth it. If I'm still working from home when Champion's League rolls around, I might be singing a different tune though.

I hope they start Holden and Mix in the middle. They completely turned the game last week around. It'll be a good test to see how fit Stu really is and it'd officially cap tie Mix. Those two, paired with Donovan on the right and Shea on the left, should create enough offense no matter who starts up top.

I've never been, don't know the game, have never really been interested, but I think I would like to try and learn a little and go to a few games next year. See if I can get jazzed over it. It makes me jealous to see you excited for something I'm too ignorant of to even know about.

    Have a blast

What section is the fun section (killing refs and putting their heads on polls is not fun) and who are the best rivals to make an enthusiastic game?

I upgraded my service to include FoxSoccer for the Gold Cup today. I'm glad I didn't go to the game tonight, though. It sucks that Portland got stuck watching USA playing a rec league team. The stadium was mostly empty for the Cuba/Costa Rica game, which was also a bit disappointing.

Wondo with three goals in the first half. Maybe next time they can spell his name correctly on his uniform?

Timbers Army for sure. (We also agree killing refs is not fun) Cascadia Rivals of Seattle and Vancouver would make for the most enthusiastic atmosphere, but those are also hardest to get tickets to. Derby games can also be ugly though as they are so hard fought. But defenitely an experience worth having

Left the bar after Stu's goal. Hard to get into it when you're the only one watching and crappy music is blasting. The best part of the night is that Mix is officially a yank. Even if he isn't on the roster for Brazil, he should be there in 2018.

Good to see WondoWlowski score some goals the past 2 games. I'm not sure if he'd make my WC roster, but always good to have decent plan B's.

Oh, and please let me never watch Beckerman again. He did get an assist, but it only came about because his first pass went straight to one of their players. He might be good in MLS, but he isn't international quality.

How was the crowd? I had no sound so I couldn't tell.

Crowd was great. Top notch. Competition sucked, though.

I went to the game and had a great time. A little short of a sellout, but what do you expect when we're playing freaking Belize.

Agreed. That would be HUGE! I don't know if we could get a game like that given the resistance to playing on turf though.

Mexico vs USA probably wouldnt happen here. Too much chance for a pro Mexico crowd which seems to be a big part of the decision process for those games (i.e. Columbus getting them)
