It's already starting - This guy is claiming Durant's camp is saying he'll sign a 5 year deal with OKC. I don't know if I believe that.
Does a long deal make sense for Durant? He will be a star in this league for a long time and will always command a max. With cap rising significantly he will be in for a much better deal next year than he can get now.
I believe that guy is spreading bullshit. Why would durant do that? If he signs back with okc it will probably be a two year with player option after first.
Seems like a decent time to bump... http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/is-there-anyway-the-blazers-sign-kevin-durant.295667/#post-3834514
Just posted. https://www.blazersland.com/the-untouchables/ Most of us could never see Durant coming here in the first place and Horford seems unlikely as well. However, who would be the better fit between the two?
I don't know if this was posted before or not. Ranks every free agent, UFA and RFA by a ranking system that seems to use box plus/minus, PER and win share, also seems to heavily factor in age, maybe something else. Portland's only free agent that ranks in positive territory is Harkless and he is 40th out of the 42 with positive rankings. Has Whiteside 3rd and with points far above Al Horford, (for example). Crabbe positive but 46th, Leonard strong negative at 64th. Gerald Henderson 85th. Jamal Crawford 97th, so they must be factoring in defense somehow. Here is their top 42 http://basketball-players.pointafte...m_campaign=ao.cm.ob.dt.10821#42-Kent-Bazemore They have some predictions as to where they will go, but not much substance to that. Here are the entire rankings: http://basketball-players.pointafte...1#43-FAQ-Ranking-of-Every-2016-NBA-Free-Agent
Wiz don't get a meeting with Durant. http://www.csnbayarea.com/warriors/report-hometown-wizards-not-expected-get-durant-meeting
Does this sound familiar? http://www.welcometoloudcity.com/20...elding-free-agent-pitches-july-1-golden-state
Can a sign and trade, or any trade happen during the NBA moratorium period starting July 1st? Just curious, thanks.
Well nothing can be officially recorded by the league. Things can happen (and do) like being agreed upon ahead of time. I know you know this but posting for the previous poster.
Yeah, but he was asking about sign-and-trades, so I thought he was talking about moves that were officially complete.
Example (Just humor me): Could the Thunder Sign and Trade Durant to the Warriors for Barnes. Barnes stays a restricted free agent and now has to negotiate with the Thunder or sign an offer sheet from another team and the Thunder could match?
No. You can't trade the rights to a RFA. The Warriors could sign Barnes, and the Thunder could sign Durant, and they could swap them.
