    Sleeper pick:

The top shooter in this draft. He's an elite shooter at 6'9" -- 33 PER | 66 TS%

Definitely a player I'd try to nab somewhere in the second round. Full disclosure - his defense is ATROCIOUS.

You guys love irrelevant players that have no chance in the league! We don't need a guy with the ceiling of Steve Novak!!!

Mitchell is a 6'3 SG. I don't think we need more undersized guards.

What a gem of a post.

So there's really no player in this draft that will contribute in the next 5 years? LOL.

If he declares, and our plan is to keep Dame and CJ long-term, Bruce Brown out of Miami makes a lot of sense as a third guard.

6'5" combo guard who's athletic, hit spot 3's, can play with the ball in his hands, competes defensively and could potentially guard 1's and 2's effectively.

Couple Bruce Brown videos I cobbled together from his game vs Virginia. First one is his offense (good and bad) and the second one focuses on his defense. He had one bad closeout out of their zone that you won't see highlighted, but that was his lone major mistake in this game.

More athletic Wesley Matthews w/ better ball skills. Nobody is going to confuse him for a pg, but he should be able to secondary playmaking once he tightens his handle (left hand is a little weak right now too).

No he for total of 5 minutes he ball dominate guard. He don't go straight up with his shot. Defense moves his feet rarely good but that about it nothing that jump off out me he would be solid player at the next level. He a freshman I think he needs to schools and work on his game.

With our cap situation and front court depth being a big issue, it would be a nice help if Olshey is able to identify which one of these late 1st round bigs has the best chance to contribute something right away.

My pick is still Motley, and even though he's a freshman, Bam might be another guy--physically ready, low TO%, fairly low foul rate--but he's so similar to Vonleh as far as their strengths and weaknesses, I don't know if that's the best use of resources.

The biggest thing with Motley is that he's a guy who's a dynamic threat out of pnr situations. He can pass, dribble, shoot and finish (although he struggles a bit w/ contact) which I think is the biggest thing this team should be looking for in a big considering how much attention Dame and CJ draw in those situations.

Dame talked after last night how nice it's been to have a guy like Nurkic who he can drop it to and trust that he can make a positive play (while also being a threat to score) and I think Motley has a chance to be another guy like that, plus he has combo of size along with fluid athleticism to maybe play a little with Nurk against traditional 2-big lineups.

Dudes lets not think we are a better scouter then someone else. We all have our own opinions but we don't know jack in the big scope of things. I leaving this up to the guys we pay to do it. Not that I am saying you shouldn't talk about it. It is fun. I just not going to bother to say no to someone else's choice and say mine is any better.

I want Michael Fusek. Slovakian. 7'4 with a 7'5 wingspan. Not much tape on him but it doesn't take much to tell he is a coordinated and athletic 7'4. Purely a project, but one worth buying a pick on. Awesome potential on the defensive side of the ball. Could be a late riser, but should be available in the second round.

A guy who has been amazingly spot-on when it comes to who the Blazers should draft for the last 10+ years. He was a mod for another basketball forum for a while and I met him on the old HoopsWorld site back in the day.

^^^^That video above? You have to love it. Probably produced by Michael Fusek Sr and music by David Fusek (the little brother). It was all sponsored by whatever toothpick company thought his legs most resembled their product.

As I was watching the game last night, I was thinking about what type of PF would be good to pair with Nurkic. I was thinking probably a stretch 4. (and we all know Meyers is NOT the man for the job). Aminu would be great if his shot were more reliable.

And this draft just so happens to have one of the best shooting big men in NCAA history:
    http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Lauri-Markkanen-73519/

He's shooting 44.4% from 3, and has a TS percentage of 65%. And he seems to have a nice release that will translate well to the nba. He's a projected top 10 pick though, so we'd probably need to miss the playoffs to have a chance at him.

What are people's thoughts on Harry Giles? I know, knees! But with two other picks in the round, maybe it allows us to take a chance on someone like him? He obviously doesn't look all the way back, but he still shows enough flashes to make me think it could be a matter of time. That upside is so intriguing.

I want Jordan Bell...not because he's a Duck but because he's a solid two way player with a high BBIQ and is a team player..I keep looking for that 6'9 PF and to me...he's as good as they come in this draft where we'll be picking. I also like that giant Karnowski? Gonzaga center that looks like Chris Kaman and Greg Ostertag had a baby....that guy is 300 lbs of rock with good passing, rebounding, a hook shot and midrange shot...he looks clumsy but he's skilled. I really like the pt guard for North Carolina...Barry...kid is a baller.
