Think Williams better than Swanagan? I hope he can jump & run better.

He and Thybulle are my picks. If they get one of those two, super!

I say screw the draft and make a trade cause this team needs a proven player along side of Dame , CJ and Nurk -- i love how Blazer fans heck any fan base falls in love with a young kid and thinks they will be the answer -- Spoiler alert -- unless they are a top 5 to 10 pick they are not the answer at least for 2 to 3 years. This is the NO BS answer and it's the truth -- next .....

Stupid San Antonio! They traded for Kawhi Leonard in the middle of Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker's prime. Idiots.

With the success the Raptors had in the Finals going zone, a player like Thybulle might be a perfect fit for the new trend of defenses since UW played a lot of zone. His anticipation in the passing lanes is second to none. I don't think he'll be a star but could easily see him having a Thabo-type of career and at 25, you take that to the bank.

240 at 5.4% body fat. Quicker off the floor. Much better changing ends and sliding laterally when he sits down. Needs to be more consistent with his technique and has the tendency to over help and bit on fakes at times, but his self awareness and physical tools give me little doubt that he'll be a positive defender with a decent amount of versatility.

Offensively I think he plays much smarter and is more likely to be a consistent threat from 3. Likely a low usage guy, but can beat a switch, make smart plays in 4 on 3's and hit spot 3's.

Eric Paschall is the next Draymond. Nice 3 point shot, good defender, solid passer and has nice leaping ability. Has been a winner at Nova and could play minutes right away.

Williams is too undersized (and doesnt have the athleticism) to effectively guard PFs or Cs inside. Hes not quick enough laterally to stay in front of SFs. Its doubtful that he'll be a good defender at the NBA level.

He also isnt a good shoote either. Shot less tham 30% from 3 in his college career. He doesnt have the creativity or quickness to create off the dribble either.

This guy shouldnt be a top 40 pick.

His feet seem slow to me, but maybe he'll be fine.

    Small sample.

There's plenty of indicators that are positive towards him being a good NBA shooter.

But who really knows. All I know is that he dominated college as a sophomore aged player, is a smart player on both ends, physically and mentally ready to play, and has skills that fit with our team and overall profile well in smaller roles on good teams.

    So did Caleb Swanigan.

I'm confused... He's physically ready? He's very undersized and not athletic enough. How is he ready in that regard?

Skills that fit our team? The biggest need for our forwards is 3-and-D players and it's highly doubtful he'll be able to do either all that well.

What indicators show him as being a good NBA shooter, if he can't even manage to shoot 30% in college and barely shot over 1 three a game? I'm actually curious to hear what indicators you're thinking of, because Caleb Swanigan showed much more promise as a shooter than Williams coming out of college.

Smarts can only get you so far. Not denying he's a smart player, but IQ can't make up for not being athletic enough, or big enough, or a good enough shooter.

With that being said, he'd be a great player in Europe, just like Swanigan.

I've made my case for him multiple times so you can likely find my answer to each of your points by searching my previous posts.

Chances are good that Bazley will be off the board by the time Blazers pick.

By all means, let's draft a Rich Paul client. We can invest time and money into developing Bazely and watch him force a trade to LA as soon he has any leverage.
