    I agree they should stay loose but we also have to lose. We need these losses to secure a good lotto position.

    More likely IMO

    But refresh my memory on what Orlando has to offer. I know we want a FRP but who do we have to take back? Nobody they would give us would start for the Blazers.
    I guess Isaac would if we traded Grant and benched Camara. But then there is his injury history.....

    Anthony Black and Carter works, but will they do that along with what we really covet? (the FRP) Seems doubtful

    Orlando has their own and Denver's pick. Their own is currently 15th. Denver's is 24th. Obviously I'd like the better of both, but we may have to settle for the worse of both.

    Cole Anthony + Gary Harris + the more favorable of the 2025 Orlando/Denver 1st's for Simons + Reath.

    gives the Blazers a 2nd first round pick in June. Orlando is currently 8th seed in the east and their pick could be 15th-7th. But it also could slip into the lottery so they'd want it to be lottery protected. If it is in the lottery than Portland gets the Denver pick plus at least one second

    this would give the Blazers 11.3M in space below the tax line. Meaning the Blazers could either use their MLE as a TPE up to that amount; or use the 6.5M TPE from the Dame trade as a landing spot for a contract some team wants to dump for tax or apron reasons, in exchange for another draft pick

    it would also shave 14.5M off of next season's payroll

    Reath's inclusion in that deal (according to fanspo) would make the salary differential slightly too much. Would work with Black or Goga instead of Harris (but then they'd likely be unwilling to include the pick).

    ok...yeah....by 40K or so. I made the mistake of 7.5M + 250K.

    Blazers could waive Reath....OR...add Rupert to the deal. nd yeah, I know....people are holding out hope for Rupert. I'm not though....mostly
