PLEASE take into account the travel. It rarely is on this forum. I can tell you it's as important as WHO we are playing. Even with days off. That shit is a grind.
I get the detailed team travel schedule for another team and it is rough. I don't know how they do it, it has to be exhausting - and Portland's schedule is the most brutal. It has to cost Portland specifically a couple games each year, just because of the extra travel necessary.
Even taking travel into account, do you see any of Brooklyn, Cleveland, Charlotte, or Memphis being able to beat this Blazer team?
They were before Dinwiddie's injury. Since then they've lost 6 of 9, with 2 of their 3 wins over Chicago and Cleveland.
True, and he's been not very good so far in the 3 games he's played. Maybe he'll suddenly revert back to pre-injury form in the first game after the all-star break, but I wouldn't bank on that.
Prediction: Lose the games we should win, win the games we should lose. And also lose some of the games we should lose.
Brooklyn and Charlotte are both better than Dallas and lots of people were convinced that no way Portland would lose to the Mavs yeah, last night leaves a high in the minds of fans but that shouldn't blind them to Portland's struggles on the road this year, especially against good teams. Portland actually has 10 of the next 12 on the road, and 7 of those road games are against playoff teams
4-3 If it weren't for the grind of having to drag @ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP 's sorry tired ass around with them, I'd go 6-1.
Serious question: Does it help that this trip is right after the All-Star break? Other than the Back-to-Back this past Sunday/Monday the schedule has been incredibly light for the Blazers the last two weeks as well. I know it's never easier but is it a little better than it would be if you were leaving today?
