https://hoopshype.com/2018/08/22/western-conference-eastern-parity-all-nba-all-star/ The last time the East had more All NBA players than the West (1997-98), Michael Jordan (CHI), Karl Malone (UTA) and David Robinson (SAS) we're All NBA and Tim Duncan won Rookie of the Year. This is the 6th year in a row that at least 10 All NBA players will be playing in the West and 12 All NBA players in the West ties the conference record set in 2015-16: The only three All NBA players returning to the East this year will be Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid and Victor Oladipo. I really think we need to abandon the whole idea of conferences. The West has won 14 of the last 20 NBA Championships and in the last 1o years, the only Eastern Conference teams to win a championship featured LeBron James - now in the West. Does anyone really think ANY team in the East has a realistic chance of winning the 2019 NBA Championship? BNM
I think the league should alternate between Northern/Southern Conferences and Eastern/Western Conferences each season. Whichever is more balanced. NORTHERN CONFERENCE: NW - POR, SAC, UTA, DEN, MIN NC - MIL, CHI, DET, IND, CLE NE - TOR, NY, BKN, BOS, PHI SOUTHERN CONFERENCE: SW - GS, LAL, LAC, PHX, OKC SC - HOU, SAS, DAL, MEM, NOP SE - MIA, ORL, ATL, CHA, WAS PREDICTIONS North: 1 BOS 2 TOR 3 UTA 4 POR 5 PHI 6 IND 7 MIN 8 MIL 9 DEN 10 DET 11 CHI 12 CLE 13 BKN 14 SAC 15 NYK South: 1 GS 2 HOU 3 OKC 4 SAS 5 NOP 6 LAL 7 WAS 8 MIA 9 MEM 10 LAC 11 CHA 12 DAL 13 PHX 14 ORL 15 ATL UNIQUE PLAYOFF MATCHUPS: Utah vs. Indiana Portland vs. Philadelphia Toronto vs. Minnesota Houston vs. Washington Golden State vs. Miami
You know, I thought you meant 80% of TOTAL nba players play in the east. And even then, I'd of agreed with you.
Love our Blazers. Hate the fn Lakers but i'll pull for them sumbitches over Golden State all day every day
The league should be split each summer after ESPN makes its predictions: The Top-15 Conference and the Bottom-15 Conference. Since we're always predicted to be in the bottom half, we will win our conference each season, and proceed to the NBA Finals.
