905 Defeat the Nets in Final Seconds

    Raptors 905 (3-0), NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, defeated the Long Island Nets (1-3) 103-102 Monday evening. Raptors 905 were led by Toronto assignee Dalano Banton who scored a game-high 27 points along with 13 rebounds and six assists, while the Nets were paced by Brandon Rachal, who scored 18 points and 15 rebounds in the defeat.

    The Nets took control of the game early, outscoring the 905 24-19 in the opening quarter, but the 905 fought back in the second cutting the lead down to two going into the third. Down five in the final 12 minutes, the 905 clawed back bringing the game within two. The game-winning basket coming at the hands of Toronto Raptors assignee Isaac Bonga, whose three-point dagger with 5.1 seconds left secured the victory.

    Bonga scored 21 points, seven rebounds four assists, three steals, and two blocks in the game, while Reggie Perry (20 points, 15 rebounds) secured another double-double in the victory. The visitors received complementary scoring from Craig Randall II, who contributed 20 points in defeat.

    The 905 will now travel to Capital City to take on the Go-Go Thursday, while the Nets return home to host the Wisconsin Herd Wednesday night, both games are scheduled for a 7 pm tip.
