#3, Festus Ezeli, 6-11 Center from Nigeria. Sets very good picks, plays excellent defense and can score inside.
Taylor is #44, right? He's a very good scorer but I like what Ezeli can give us. I see him as a Center in the Joel/Camby mold in the way that his focus is mostly on defense/rebounds and helping his teammates on offense by setting smart, hard screens. He's a smart, TEAM player, on both ends of the floor, and has a good combination of massive frame and good atheletic ability. I respect your opinion, especially when it comes to college players, and if you get a chance to watch another Vanderbilt game, I recommend you watching him more closely. I searched for his stats online and they're far from impressive, Taylor fills up the stat sheet, he doesn't. Mostly because he doesn't play too many minutes. His +/- numbers should tell the story but I couldn't find them. I think he could be a guy that wouldn't go very high in the draft, maybe not even in the first-round - because he stays under the rader #s-wise, but could be another Dante/Armon for us.
His numbers from the game against Marquette: 5-7 FG (12 points), 4 Rebounds, 3 Blocks and one steal in 20 minutes.
If we trade Batum for a PG or young big, then Chris Singleton will probably be available for one of our picks
I'll keep an eye out for Ezeli. But, yeah, a guy I talk to who knows a ton about college and prep basketball told me that if he had the #1 pick he'd take Enes Kanter. I didn't really know much about him until he showed me some video. I'm sold. Guy is a 7 footer who has post moves and range like know other footer in awhile. I think there's some good gets in this draft.
Can't believe Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard were both below #10 in that draft. Jackson and Butler did not even make 20.
Why are two mods participating in a bumped thread? Serious question. I thought we weren't supposed to do this?
