The news just doesn't seem to be getting any better in Corvallis. Agnew felt a "pop" in his hammy and sat yesterday. IMHO he's being asked to do too much, too early. Now, Riley announces Katz will probably start but Munnion has been taking all reps with the first string - and the Beavs will most likely go with a 2 QB system. I've seen the 2 QB work, but more often it leads to timing and locker-room issues.

The problem I see now with the two QB rotation is that it works when you have two highly skilled QB's who bring unique strengths to the field that keep a defense guessing. In this situation, Riley is looking for anyone who can actually move the ball and score. Probably issues that should have been answered at the end of fall camp, not early season going into key games vs ranked opponents.

    Hope Agnew is OK...

OSU freshman Malcolm Agnew, the nation's leading rusher, said he "felt a little pop'' in his right hamstring early in Tuesday's practice. He got it taped up, then mostly watched after that.

"Not sure exactly what wrong with it yet,'' Agnew said. "I’ll go inside and get it diagnosed.''

Wow. Just keeps getting worse. Agnew was the one and only bright spot in that game on Saturday.
