The San Francisco 49ers expect to play pass-rusher Aldon Smith more in this week's pivotal NFC game at New Orleans than in last Sunday's loss to Carolina. Smith, being eased back into the rotation, played about a dozen snaps in the 10-9 loss to Carolina. He missed the previous five games while seeking treatment for substance abuse.
