I think if Scoot is taken and Miller is on the board as the Blazers as long as your confident that Miller has grown from that one incident then he has to be the choice IF you want to sell Dame on a rookie. I think Miller is one of the most NBA ready players even if he does not come out and torch the league however his skill set fits with the Blazers needs. He has shown he is a good shooter and I think coming into the league he will be at least an average defender and that is a good thing for this team. I have nothing against Scoot but IF Dame stays we cannot do the 2 small guard thing again that has shown not to net results in the past. I will give my Best and Solid and worst comp for Miller but more in terms of his stat profile after 2 to 3 years in the league.

BEST --- 20 to 23 points or better PPG , 6 to 8 Reb and 4 to 6 Assts and 1.5 Stl's and .5 to 7 BLKS per game -- Good BB IQ , Above Average to Elite Scorer , Above Avg to Elite Defender
    SOLID --- 14 to 17 PPG , 4 to 6 Reb and 4 to 5 Asst and 1 STL and .5 Blk --- Solid BB IQ , Solid Defender , Average Scorer
WORST -- 10 to 12 PPG about same stats as solid BUT ---- Low BB IQ , Moments of good D but Below average D , basically the wheels fall off and he is Knox or Reddish just maybe a tad better

The main argument I have read is that he just needs to put more muscle on his frame because he didn't have the strength to absorb contact and finish.

They say he has the frame to add some. He needs to for sure if he is still around 201.
Hell even Amen is at 215.

    Miller or bust?

Will he go #2 or #3?

In addition to this (and what a bizarre answer he gives when asked about the woman's death), Givony was the one who reported that his draft interviews went poorly. Who is Givony close to that he would know this, considering only a few front offices have access to Miller?

Considering his "Paul George is the GOAT/MJ missed a free throw when I watched him" answer and maybe even his 'stop and frisk me' pregame action performed immediately after the event, I don't think this guy has the best awareness.

I don't discount his talent but I've stated this before that there probably going to be moments where fans are frustrated with him.

Guys.... I don't know if either of you know anyone who has been charged and prosecuted before, but I have. I have seen how our justice system works. There is no benefit at all to talk to anyone other than your lawyer if you could potentially face charges. Zero benefit.

He has been told by his legal team not to talk. That's what he's doing. That is 100% the right thing to do. I get it... people want to hear remorse. They want him to apologize. If he does that, it opens him up to a lawsuit. There's a reason why Canada had to pass a law that prevents Canadians from being held accountable for apologizing after an accident.

You can see him running through what to say in his head before saying it because he clearly wants to be as vague as possible. The media wants the story. They don't care if the interview ruins his life.

I just wanted to see him formulate a composed answer. He's still humming and hawing trying to remember exactly the words his lawyer told him to say.

Dude he's 20 years old and he's facing some very serious consequences, either criminally or civilly. Personally I'd be scared shitless having to constantly answer questions about that.

Yeah. I liked Miller but I really didn't want that drama hanging over our team.

Imagine if the Grizzlies had the #2 pick instead of the Hornets.

Would they have still taken Miller since they have Morant and don’t really need scoot?

Knowing that Dame would have ask out, would you guys have preferred Miller falling at #3 or is it better having Scoot?

Would you have trust Simons as PG of the future?

    Simons
    Sharpe
    Miller

    or

    Scoot
    Sharpe
    X

    with Simons on the move?

I would've taken Amen, consensus second highest ceiling in the draft only behind Wemby, if I knew Dame was going to ask out

Why not take him either way? I truly feel taking Dame's heir apparent was the final straw. Not the same thing with Amen. I do like Scoot, I just think Amen has the potential to do more on the court, especially with shooters like Ant and Sharpe.
