Unless Neil makes a huge trade this team is headed for the lotto. We're not bad enough to land Simmons but we'll pick right around where Sabonis ought to be -- mid to late lotto. He could rise into the top-7ish if he keeps this up. The numbers: 20.5 PPG | 10.5 RPG | 83 FG% | 46.8 PER | 3 games He obviously wont keep these numbers up but he came back stronger and bigger -- 245 lbs. 14/15 season PER40: 18 PPG | 13 RPG | 68 TS% | 24.7 PER He lacks length, severely actually, but he has a feel that you can't teach and a Joakim-like motor. I'm in the minority here on S2 - I really like Vonleh's upside but Sabonis is a better prospect.
Makes me feel better. Saw this mock and it had Denver having our pick even though it;s in the lottery.
I find it extremely annoying that teams like Philly, New Orleans, and Sacramento are YET AGAIN in the bottom 5. The NBA seriously needs to start punishing these teams for consistently sucking.
Shit man this thread reminded me of "All things Kostas Papanikolaou" I hope Jr Sabo has a MUCH more successful career than that other guy who now spends his time buried on the Nuggets bench. Denver seems like they play everyone on their roster, but he's still only averaging 3 minutes per game this year.
Then we should definitely draft him seeing how CJ's comparison is Jaleel White. Here he is with Crabbe.
So he's sort of the poor man's Jahlil Okafor? Or can he actually play defense? It must suck to be the much smaller, much less talented son of one of the all-time greats. I wonder if he already drinks a pint of vodka a night. (If we did draft him he should be required to have a "Jr." after Sabonis on his jersey.)
