It's also safe to say that Michael Jordan is the best African American basketball player ever. BTW - Bird may also be the best overall basketball player ever.
who is a better white baller than bird?????there are names to mention but no one really ,him and magic are one of my favourites because there two of the most UNSELFISH ballers in L history, they wer'nt about scoring high and all that
wow. what a team. maybe we hsould fill out the other roster spots. that would be fun and hotluy debated
this is tough to pick more players...Celtics have the greatest history out of any team in the nba. They have had so many good players..I guess IF I could add to that team I would have to add.. 1.) PG-Dennis Johnson..he doesn't have as many distinguished honors as the other players listed above, but this guy knew how to play the game of basketball, he loved playing it, and had fun doing it. He is Mr. Clutch for the Celtics. If they needed him he would come through, no doubt about it.NBA champion (1979, '84, '86); NBA Finals MVP (1979); All-NBA First Team (1981); All-NBA Second Team (1980); All-Defensive First Team (1979-83, '87); All-Defensive Second Team (1984-86); Five-time NBA All-Star 1979-82, '85). 2.) C-Robert Parish...can't forget about him... He hold the NBA record for most seasons played and games played with 21 seasons and 1,611 games. A nine-time NBA All-Star (1981-87, 1990-91). He was part of the Big 3 with Bird, and McHale. One of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. ALso hold records for most defensive rebounds...14,715. Robert PArish is one of the most distinguished players to ever play the game of basketball.
Great choices for backups, sme other possibilities are Nate Archibald, KC Jones, Tom Heinsohn, and Jim Loscutoff
