<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Microsoft co-founder and Seattle-area billionaire Paul Allen's Vulcan Inc. has agreed to buy back the Rose Garden Arena in Portland that he previously owned.

As part of the agreement, a subsidiary of Seattle-based Vulcan Inc. plans to purchase Portland Arena Management LLC, which has held the notes to the Rose Garden since Allen put the facility into bankruptcy about three years ago. Terms of the deal, which is not yet finalized, were not disclosed.

Thomas Luther, PAM's chairman of the board, said this latest move ensures the team will remain in Portland. Basketball insiders had speculated that the team could eventually move to Seattle if the SuperSonics leave. The arena is also home to Portland Winter Hawks hockey team and the National Lacrosse League Portland LumberJax.</div>
