A report that Amar'e Stoudemire is working on a contract extension with the Phoenix Suns is more bad news for the free agency-or bust Knicks. Stoudemire told Fanhouse.com he is working on a new deal and you have to think that should the Suns advance to the second round - a virtually certainty - that Stoudemire will return. Stoudemire is a terrible rebounder and isn't a particularly good defender, either. I've been much more impressed with Lee this season than I have with Stoudemire, who will probably be more expensive yet add little to nothing substantially more than what Lee brings. Let's also factor in that Amare has a history of injuries, too. So if he re-signs it's not bad news at all. We should not have been looking his direction in the first place. By the way, Grant Hill is averaging more rebounds per game than Stoudemire so far in this postseason.
