I liked him when he played for Denver and Philly, but this year I've grown to love him ... he just amazes me with his ability to out-think and out-savvy younger, more athletic guys who should theoretically tear him apart.

He's one of those players that you grow to appreciate progressively every game. He and Nate seem to be on the perfect page now, which is a really good sign for the playoffs. Nate's never had a decent PG in a playoff series; it will be interesting to see Miller as the games slow down and he gets to impose his will (along with Roy, hopefully) on the other team. The ironic thing is we got Miller for the playoffs, and not the regular season, yet I don't think the team would have made the playoffs without him. Going into the season, making the playoffs was an afterthought. Then came the injuries...

Last year, in that Philly game at home where Andre basically backed Blake into a corner every time and outplayed our backcourt single-handedly to a victory, I despised the man. I love him for exactly those same reasons now. He's got to be one of the smartest basketball players out there on the court every night.

Our starting lineup (Roy, Miller, Batum, LMA, and Camby) is probably one of the smartest out there, and it's because of Marcus and Miller giving us that veteran savvy. I hope everyone on the team is taking notes!

"But what I noticed more than anything was Andre played to win, every second he was on the court. He’d play well, and then his replacement, Jerryd Bayless, would screw things up for a few minutes, and then Miller would come back in and resume reshaping the game to his will."

Is there any other coach dumb enough to even think of starting Blake over Miller? No wonder the dude felt like he was getting fucking embarrassed. Miller is ten times the pg McDillon ever was and it made him jealous as hell. I'm glad he is finally over it.

Camby is really helping LMA too. Couldn't have a better teacher. Talk about IQ and straight rawness

Popovich is dumb enough to bring Manu off the bench.

I wonder if they'll do a chant for Andre Miller tomorrow...or maybe a rotating chant for every player, or something.

    "Nicolas...Batum...clap clap clapclapclap"

The best one I hope happens is "Travis Deiner....we mean Diner...."

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I've always been a fan of Miller's. Glad he's a Blazer and I get to root for him, in addition to appreciating his game.

Pop brings Manu in for a spark off the bench, Nate was doing the same with Andre. Your issue with the comparison is likely that it hurts your argument when one of the top coaches does the same. Sorry.

You didn't realize he was asking a rhetorical question? How silly of you to bring up a 4-time NBA champ who is basically doing the same thing with a key player. :ghoti:

I don't see Andre Miller on the list. And that's not including Jason Kidd and Finals MVP Tony Parker.

It's a fair point, though. Bench spark plugs are usually wing scorers, not floor generals (or defensive stoppers) that need extended burn to be effective.
