3 more years of Andy Reid football. On the plus side, Reid will continue evaluating talent and bringing quality players into the organization. On the downside, he'll be coaching those players.

It really seems like this guy will be around forever. There was light at the end of the tunnel, but all my hopes have vanished. He gets to coach until 2013. That means three more years of passing the ball a billion times, three more years of not scoring in the redzone, three more years of poor play calling, three more years of poor clock management, and three more years of incompetent coaching and preparation for the team. Why can't he leave.

I wonder what this means for Donovan though, probably nothing.

Lol, like I've mentioned before, I know a dude that's an Eagles fan and loves Reid. He was hella happy for this signing.

When I said that he's a bad coach, he said that he has the third most wins or some shit like that.

They had a thing on ESPN when Reid signed, and apparently besides Bellicheat, Reid is the winningest active head coach.

But his wins don't really mean much in the big picture, kind of like Don Nelson in the NBA. I haven't seen any Philly fan overly excited or optimistic about this move. This will just keep us in mediocrity for years to come. If we're happy with just making the postseason year in and year out, then excellent move. But I, like many other Eagle fans, am tired of that.

Most likely not. He has a team option which is pretty expensive for next year. Philly will look to deal him for a pick, or just cut ties. I cannot see us picking up his option and keeping him, only chance is if something happens to Donovan.

After his game against Atlanta, hopefully he boosted his trade value. It was never meant to be a long term thing to begin with.

I can't see any team trading a draft pick for him at this point. He's shown no value as anything but a team's primary QB, and we still don't know if he's any better than he was with Atlanta. Teams are better off making a run at him during free agency if they think he's legit.

Looking at Reid's overall numbers are misleading. Reid's playcalling and coaching ability have deteriorated over time. The Andy Reid currently coaching the Eagles is much worse than the coach that led his team to three consecutive conference championships and a Super Bowl in the first half of this decade. I still think the Eagles would end up regretting removing him from the team altogether. He should retreat to a full-time GM role and hire someone else to coach the team. At the very least he needs to hire a better O-coordinator and loosen his control of the team's playcalling.
