The skipper screwed up, but the MarAzul waited patently for the tide to come back, standing like a lady poised on one foot, practicing her balance routine. Mean while the skipper is laying down holding a pucker rather tight from just after high tide to the next high tide.
Looks like you've at least got her pretty level...I've seen sailboats grounded by typhoons but usually with damaged hulls ...don't recall seeing one perched like that though
I’ve seen it a time or two up in the Puget Sound during my gunkholing days. But we never tried it. Or maybe we were sleeping it off and never noticed.......
I knew a guy, here in Cathlamet that knew the lady that took the picture. He chased it down for me. He came down to the boat to tell me about it shortly after I pulled in.
