My son and his inlays went and said it was a heck of a concert. I think the largest concert crowd in Oregon History? He said dad, there must have been 75% Cowboy and Cowgirl hats and some Maga Hats. lol I ask if there were any Anarchist protesting and he didn't see any.
My son lives a couple miles from Autzen….left his house the day of that concert and it took about an hour to drive from Harlow to the Ferry St Bridge....insane. Not a Garth Brooks fan but I saw Steve Earle at in Eugene and saw Willie Nelson at the Cuthbert ….both great concerts.
Im not huge GB fan either I just get a kick out of home much country western is liked in most Oregon Outside Mult County.
I like roots Americana....folk, blues, bluegrass...etc...I don't like Urban cowboy glitz...don't follow pop country music at all....follow the guys like Chris Smithers, Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, Willie...Towns van Zandt...John Prine..etc..
I never was a concert fan. But I went to maybe four of Willie's. He is especially good when he has another Star with him. Like Waylon, or Julio Iglesias. But what ever you do, don't go where it might be foggy. Went to see Willie and Highwaymen in the Santa Cruz County fair grounds, it was great until the fog set in then you could not breath in the dang place. Pot smoke, a lot of it and fog are a bitch.
the Cuthbert is my favorite concert venue...sit on the river on a hillside....nice food court to take a break that's behind the concert area..outdoors you smell the pot but you don't get smothered in it
Are younger adults in Mult Co. acquiring a taste of country music? If so that's refreshing to hear. Like Snow Music can be an equalizer!
I can’t not see Garth Brooks as anything but a weird guy after watching Tom Segura break down his social media posts lmao it sucks because I love a couple of his songs.
In my younger years, which covers a lot of ground, I use to love the odor of pot. Now, I'm an old fuddy duddy and avoid it.
My three kids and my son's fiance went to the concert and my son actually stopped at a Goodwill in Eugene and bought a cowboy hat. They said the concert was great and he sang around 30 songs. The guy knows how to give the people their money's worth.
