When Boozer Insurance ( Taj Gibson ) is posting 15 and 6.5 and 1.12bpg in 30mpg and the great Chris Bosh is posting 14.5 and 5.5 and 1bpg in 37 minutes per game.

    Hmmmm. Hmmmmm. Hmmmmm?

Possibly. How does Taj look in a cowboy hat?

I think both Boozer and Bosh are both receptive if that's the way you swing.

I'm not writing Boozer off at all, though. The Heat are still getting their shit together, and on good teams, there aren't necessarily enough shots for everyone. You can't compare stats to stats without making adjustments on a team like the Heat -- let's call it the Ron Harper factor.

Toronto went 40-42 last year on a team that had crap, and one player that dropped 24 and 10. The Bulls had injuries but still only went 41-41. That's the stat we should look at, unless you think the Bulls greatly underachieved.

So I'd still take Bosh over Boozer; but honestly, it looks like we really needed a shooting guard.

I think Bosh is catching too much flack this early in the season. Someone's stats were going to suffer among those three. Did anyone really think that all three would average 20+ ppg? Wade is going to get his, and Bron is simply too talented to average under 20 for a season. Bosh is the guy who is going to have to sacrifice numbers, and unfortunately he isn't really the right forward for that team. They need a guy who can get boards and create his own touches. Zach Randolph would be awesome for that team. They need a garbage man. Bosh is still a guy who needs touches to put up numbers.

    My dear Thunder ,

This simply tells me that someone had to put up glory stats on a team that did dick and where those glory stats meant dick

We performed largely off the back of Rose and Noah ( and to a lesser degree Deng ) with a clueless Coach and all the turmoil that engulfed us with "punch gate" and our guys with lesser glory stat numbers still produced.

    Bosh ain't a difference maker.

Randolph would indeed be a better fit!

I'd take either one, but only one of them is playing so far.

Boozer probably gives us a better guy in the post, where Bosh is more of a Taj on steroids type - good midrange game.

Replace Bosh with Noah and Noah gets 20 and 10 and that team is undefeated. Bosh absolutely could get 20 if he wasn't scared of trying to get an offensive rebound. And Boozer was the best option.

It looks like James, Rose, Gibson, Deng, Noah > James, Wade, Bosh, tweedle-dee, tweedle-dum -- at least right now.
