I've heard a lot of talk about the Seahawks not being that good because of Feely missing field goals, Vick not playing when the 'Hawks played the Falcons and so on well I'm going to count the Seahawks wins that the opponent should've won and vice versa. I'll do the same for the Steelers too. SEAHAWKS RECORD: 13-3 Week 2 vs. ATL (W 21-18): If Vick was in the game, they would've gotten a win since it was so close (-1) Week 4 @ WAS (L 17-20 (OT)): The only reason the Seahawks lost is because Josh Brown missed 2 field goals in the fourth quarter (+1) Week 7 vs. DAL (W 13-10): The INT with about a min. left in the game set up a Josh Brown field goal which got the very lucky win for the Seahawks (-1) Week 12 vs. NYG (W 24-21 (OT)): The worst day Jay Feely has had in his career was the reason the Cowboys lost (-1) Week 17 @ GB (L 17-23): This was a meaningless game for the Seahawks because they already clinched home field so they didn't have much starters in this game and if they really wanted to win, they would've (+1) The real record: 12-4 STEELERS RECORD: 11-5 Week 6 vs. JAC (L 17-23 (OT)): They were without Roethlisberger and Ward and it was a close game (+1) Week 8 vs. BAL (W 20-19): It was a lucky day for the Steelers, the Ravens outplayed them in just about every way and the Steelers did horrible on special teams (-1) Week 11 @ BAL (L 13-16 (OT)): Roethlisberger not playing, and the Ravens barely pulled it off (+1) The Real Record: 12-4 So both of them were equally good in the regular season but in the playoffs the only reason the Bengals lost is because they were without Palmer and that?s why they didn't score any points in the second half. The Steelers won 31-17 so some people might think that even with Palmer he'd just make it close but that?s just 2 TD's behind and he could at least tie it or even win it, he doesn't just pass, he knows the offense more than anyone and the backup doesn't so that hurt the whole offense and Palmer can make much better audiles too and that?s why the QB is the most important position. The backup didn't watch much film probably since no one expected him to play. The Win against the Colts should not have happened, the Colts outplayed them, and if they did play them again, they would've stopped making penalties. The win against the Broncos made it clear that they were better than them though. The Seahawks were very impressive vs. the Redskins, even without Alexander which is the best part of their offense, Hasslebeck did great and I did not see much dropped passes. The win vs. the Panthers got the Seahawks defense noticed and the job of stopping Smith was amazing. I think Seattle will win in the Super Bowl because Holmgren has Super Bowl experience, our defense coordinator seems to be better than Ray Rhodes, the Steelers are like the Panthers at WR, they have Ward but no one else. Your thoughts?
um...there is only one problem...Josh Brown is part of your team...therefore there are no excuses for a lose by 3...speculation is retarded because really its a load of what ifs...the point is the what ifs didnt come true...really seattle IS a better team then the steelers...the question is can seattle play with the consistency the steelers have been playing with lately...the steelers are hungry and the seahawks feel disrepected...thats why it will be a good game...
That is a lot of 'what ifs'. What if every team played a perfect game? Then there would be no winners or losers ultimately...
You said that it was a lucky day for certain teams there, but good teams find ways to win and there are no other two teams in the NFL that deserve to be there as they didnt do as well. Simple
