Oh boy. I can't believe he's hurt again. I can't handle it. We waited a whole frickin year and now this is what we get? It's horrible. I hope he's fine and plays on Friday and we never have to think about it again.

I wore my Oden jersey and was heckled like crazy, ESP after the game. I got killed. Yelled at ("Portland sucks!" "Oden sucks") and even pushed. I've gone to tons of road games including ones in L.A. and I've never been attacked like I was tonight. I just ignored it all and tried to read all of your posts on my i-Phone.

So let's talk about the two people that played well tonight- Travis Outlaw and Rudy Fernandez. What they both have in common is that they can deal with pressure. We were getting killed early on. I give many props to the Lakers for their incredible defense and in that situation, Outlaw and Rudy were the only ones who could handle it. So many of you love to criticize Travis but there's a reason he led us in 4th quarter scoring last season (he did, right?) When all is failing, you can always give the ball and get a score out of Travis. Without him, we would've lost by 50 tonight. Same with Rudy. He didn't look like a rookie and it's because he really isn't. He has played professionally for how many years? (real question) It is going to be very VERY hard for Nate to not have him on the court at all times. He is really really good and he never really forced it. If he wanted to score 35 points tonight, I believe he could have.

Now let's talk about point guard. It's very simple to me. START JERRYD BAYLESS. Bring Steve Blake off the bench (he's a GREAT backup). And NEVER PLAY SERGIO AGAIN.

It was fun to see Batum play well in garbage time.

In the end, I give the Lakers all the credit in the world for their victory and I really REALLY hope that Greg is healthy again soon. I won't be able to take it if he's not. I just won't be able to take it.

I fought back....most people backed down, some didn't. Oh well. I was literally steaming from my head looking to unleash some rage and was the wrong guy to fuck with tonight.

I spent most of the second half on my phone looking for updates on Oden.

Words cannot contain the anger and disappointment I feel right now. I hate losing. This was more than that, it was embarassing and uncertainty about Oden.

I got to the game about 6:15 or so....just hung out and watched the shoot-around for a bit. Saw Pritch walk by a few times....Rebecca Harlow was there too. Canzano too.

I have to agree. Even with all the mistakes that Bayless made, he looked better than Blake did. This kid can play, and he's going to be very good. Some players just have it, and others don't. Bayless has it.

I'm a proud Blazer fan but I would have taken my jersey off at halftime. It was embarrassing from tipoff. Brick after brick.

And Bayless as raw as he is, should start over Blake. It's only going to be more obvious as the season goes on that Jerryd should be starting.

    F*** F*** Sh** Sh** - what a fu**in' night.

worst part was getting text messages from my friends all night talking shit. I was in shock the second half after oden didn't come out of the locker room.

Sorry about the Laker fans, the ones that go to the games, some of them is part of the reason why I don't go to the games there. They get unruly and violent. Its uncalled for and unwarranted. Sorry you guys had to go through that.

FYI, Sergio, Batum and Blake were the only guys who were out shooting an hour before tipoff I believe.

At least you got Heckled by Laker fans in LA. I got heckled by some friends here in Portland, who are Portland natives! (Which makes no sense to me) It's okay because they are now dead to me. Oden will bounce back and our time will come.........When I see a Laker fan in the Rose Garden I won't say, "Lakers Suck" I will say, "Lakers are pretty good I guess, but you need to get the fuck out."

I don't think I'm going to go to another Lakers game @ Staples. It will be a long time, watching at home is better.

I enjoy watching at home, but going to a game should be an experience worth enjoying and instead they only worsened the already bad game (Portland's big loss) for you. It's unfortunate you know? But hey, if you guys want to watch a game sometime like the next time the Lakers play Portland, I'm down.

I just let them be. Even people in traffic were rolling down their windows and yelling "Fuck the Blazers".

I think it's jumping the gun to start Jerryd already, but plans of him being the 11th man on this team could be a short one.
The guy never plays tentative, he may have been nervous for his first few minutes, but he kept attacking and attacking. He got caught a bit in the air, trying to jump to make a pass and turned it over, but that just comes with experience.
Somehow, we'll need to find some PT for him.

The loss + Oden's injury + people yelling shit every time I went to the bathroom, left staples, etc = compounded.

I fucking despise the Lakers, and most of it has to do with their fanbase.

Very understandable. I like being the diehard fan who also knows its team's weaknesses just as well as their strengths, makes much more sense that way. I also don't like going around gloating about my team, doesn't accomplish anything.

Oh another thing- we definitely looked like we calmed down when we brought Joel in for Greg. I think everyone was a little nervous for Greg at the start of the game. They adopted his nerves.

What was up with Greg taking the high post? He did that so many times in the beginning of the game. No isolations ran for him....was pissed. He never got good position.

yeah, got there around the same time. I was down on the floor almost directly behind the hoop the blazers played on in the first half..about 4-5 rows up.

damn, the upper level is pretty rough. kind of like the outfield seats @ dodger stadium. most people around me were fine actually...many were very nice. Its when I left to go to the main concourse or out on the street with the rest of the riff raff did the problems happen.
