    So, what, like a 7 or 8 year deal? That seems pretty crazy; injuries or anything could happen over 8 years - neither party should want to be tied down, just in case.

    I'm happy for him. If he gets injured and Barca have agreed such a long contract, then he'll get paid for nothing.

    It's because he has given so much to the club, and Barca want to repay him. They have bags of money to give away. He'll feel good about this, I don't think Barca care about the money.
