Does anyone feel that an exhange would help both these players... Baros to Man U, Smith to Villa. If so I guess Man United may have to fork out a bit of money to get the deal done. It's a long shot I know, but remember Baros isn't cuptied for European games! Not many other strikers (Torres isn't) may be avaliable in European Competition. Just a thought!
Nah, why would we want a Scouser reject? A bid of around £3-4m would be enough to take Smith to Vanilla Park and Randy Lerner can front the money easily enough.
Smith is surplus to requirements, for sure, since Ole came back in such a rich vein of form. I think even when we get Rossi back from the Barcodes, he'll be higher up the pecking order than Smith. If we can get between 3 and 4 mil for him, which is entirely possible, I'll be happy.
