The league voted a number of changes including shorter commercial breaks, only 6 visits between catcher and pitcher and other limitations. Read them for yourself. If Rob Manfred, the commissioner, doesn't get the time period adjustments he wants then he will institute a pitch clock (which is already in the minor leagues) next year. Most players will bitch but the pitchers can't stall to rest their arms for more speed anymore with mound visits.

umm, for a game that is meaningful this maybe interfering. For game that means nothing, who cares.
But that depends on whether you like baseball or not. Seems funny to be screwing with the game now after more than a hundred years.

I just don't watch anymore but I can not see the point in watching roid pumped bots play the game.

You have a good point, But roided out monster players literally saved the game. It seems like as long as the home runs go out that's all the owners care about anyway. The new homerun hitters all all naturally huge so they don't really need 'roids.

Not a fan of changing the game for commercial purposes. As the game has been played, good ball is a chess match. I would hate to see one of the most vulnerable positions become even more prone to injury.

Probably better and more entertaining ways to discourage delays on the mound. For instance you could have a rule that all the infielders have to do pushups while the catcher is on the mound.

Better yet. Let Curt Schilling come out and talk to them for a few minutes while the catcher and pitcher visit. That's basically torture.

I’ve always supported the idea that the second throw to first base without actually tagging the base runner out should result in the pitcher being tased. I’d be willing to expand that to the third mound visit by the catcher.

Oh man, that would screw up the game fierce. It takes about three throws to 1st to show the runner how slow you are. You have to do it before, you show um how fast you are.

    Players.

It is the most boring of spectator sports, well at least a rival to soccer.

I really hope they allow pitchers and catchers more opportunities in the playoffs to talk cause it’s very important when every pitch counts.

Then people need to stop going then. It is literally the most unpopular sport that lots of Americans and Canadians can't stop attending.

    Fun to play though.
Then it's not bad to watch either. I sort of like the dual at 1st base then maybe that outside pitch for the catcher to 2B for the finish.
Neat stuff if your not in a hurry.

They should use dogs for outfielders and designated baserunners.

    Everyone likes dogs.

    The highlights would be dim.
You could never get a dog to run full bore into the fence like a human outfielder.
