The Los Angeles Sun Times thinks it's a possibility . . . http://la.suntimes.com/los-angeles-lakers/7/88/265946/lakers-small-forward-trade-rumors
There are some concerns about Randle and Okafor being able to play with each other, you'd think they'd be able to get someone better than Batum for Randle, though.
We'd have to give up a pick. The Lakers would have to be of the mindset that Batum is the final piece of their championship puzzle. HAHHAHAHAHHAH
I've got to say he didn't impress me at all. Can he play defense? He's like a poor man's version of the bad pre-Memphis Zach Randolph. I'll take their #2 pick, though, given that this is all fantasy anyway.
For a player who has "little value" like a few people have said on this board it seems like a lot of teams want Batum. If LMA leaves I think we can get a decent haul for him Batum, Orlando might bite on him with something centered around their pick or Gordon. Not sure if I like Gordon but he makes some flashy plays and likes to play D.
Let me get this straight. There is a real possibility that Wes, Batum and LA end up on the Lakers next year? One via trade and two via free agency? It's slightly depressing that no one seems to want to be here. I wonder if Olshey misses LA as well.
If he can't retain our talent or get better replacements, he can go to LA too for all I care because he'll be dead to me.
