Maybe. I guess we'll see if his career is stalling out or if last year's decline was just a momentary blip.

Not that I wish bad on anyone, but it would be ironic if Nic ended up with LMA on the Spurs and they had first round exits every year.

BTW, is the Texas tax structure helping get all these big names to Texas, or just the size of the markets. Seems like Texas has at least half of the best players in the league. And having lived there it is not because of it's natural beauty or weather.

Highly unlikely with Pop at the helm.

We can dream can't we? Can you imagine the crowd if we met and beat them in a first round series? Epic.

Batum is gonna get PAID when the cap goes up. They won't be able to afford him and he won't come off the bench.

Unless..... He took a huge pay cut and moved over to SG... :dunno:

Well the cap is going up; so they can probably easily get the room to give him the max. They probably just have to trade Diaw. Remember all those posters saying the Spurs wouldn't be able to fit Aldridge under the cap at a max contract? Oops.

Neil made it sound like LaMarcus was ok with Nic being dealt; if so I wouldn't think he lobbies to be reunited. Who knows though.

Today it's the Spurs. Yesterday Toronto. Before that, the TWolves.

He doesn't know what he wants.

Yeah I am just glad we don't have to worry about where he is going next summer. I know Toronto has wanted him in the past for various reasons. Mainly because they think Europeans will enjoy the international flavor the city provides. And it makes sense as opposed to many US cities. American born players could care less.

But the problem is Toronto is really fucking cold during the basketball season. That makes it a harder sell compared to Texas, Socal, AZ and Florida. It will be interesting to see where he chooses with all the options he will have. (Unless he has another bad year)

I've long seen SA as the perfect spot for Nics game to flourish. And with all his French national members there, it just makes too much sense.

So for every picture that is taken with a former Blazer and someone on yet another team, we make a thread?

The season can not get here quick enough for me.

This is obvious BS. After all, the Spurs won't have roster space after signing Claver next year...

Batum's agent is a douche who knows Michael Jordan is a horrible evaluator of talent. So he spreads rumors of Nic wanting to be elsewhere so that, somewhere along the line, MJ will panic and over pay. He did a fine job of playing Minnie and Portland against each other so that Nic got more than he was worth in the end.

Where does Batum say he is going to the Spurs? HailBlazers posted a picture and speculation.

Yeah. The thread starting discipline around here is pretty bad. I wish mods would clean that shit up. I think the around the NBA thread should be a sticky where all NBA news not related to a current blazers player should be dumped.

Clearly, you do not speak French body language and micro expression.

See how they both gaze longingly to the horizon? See how Batum casually flashes his thigh, while Pops plays pocket pool with BOTH hands? Obviously, this is a mutual dance of seduction! :crystalball:
